Topic: Voucher transfer?

Do you think the Switch online Nintendo Vouchers will transfer to the Nintendo Switch 2? I went ahead and ordered 2 before my subscription ran out. I am hoping for some last minute switch games like some green guy sailing around in a lion boat for example lol. But outside that, I am hoping they would be usable for both systems.

@Elitepatriot Hard to guess, but it seems very likely they will at least work for (potentially) cross gen games. If you want 2 out of donkey kong country HD, Xenoblade X, new Pokemon Legends game or Prime 4 you should be safe. Presumably at least a few more games will be added to the list.

As for Switch 2 only games? Maybe since they said NSO would continue.

I think they will. Nintendo's been pushing the heck out of them, and with accounts and NSO continuing, there's really nothing preventing it.

I think they will transfer over since the console is backwards compatible, but I don’t think they’ll be able to be used for Switch 2 games. (I’d love to be wrong though, it’d be awesome to be able to get Switch 2 games with them!)

I think the vouchers can only be used while you have an NSO sub. However, I think you just have to resubscribe if you want to use them. (anyone correct me if I'm wrong. I think that's the deal, though.)

Fortunately regular NSO can be bought month by month so @Elitepatriot can subscribe only for the month(s) they want to use the vouchers.

@PikminMarioKirby Perhaps the vouchers could be used for Switch 2 games about a year or two after the Switch 2 console comes out? I could see that happening.

@Elitepatriot We’ll probably see the Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers special offer continue on Switch 2 especially since Nintendo Switch Online will carry over.

It should as long as it's tied to the account holder, it should transfer for the account holder.
