Hi again guys. Today, I noticed that Tomb Raider: DE shadow dropped today. I never played that Tomb Raider before. My question now is, should I get Tomb Raider, or Red Dead 1 (Switch 1 version, then upgrade to Switch 2 Red Dead version upon release)? Right now, I only have enough money on my eShop Account to get 1 of them, as I have another 80 in eShop set aside for Metroid Prime 4. Thoughts and help greatly appreciated
They are both great games. However, I would wait for Red Dead Redemption to go on sale, and play Tomb Raider now and then, Metroid, and then Red Dead Redemption.
I think RDR to be honest, especially as the free Switch2 upgrade is just a couple of weeks away. Tomb Raider is a fine game, but RDR (and its sequel) is an absolute classic.
Quite different games. As both have been out for years, check the multiple reviews out there. Both score well so neither will be a bad purchase.
As others have said, from a money perspective, maybe RDR at 50% off to start. I expect Tomb Raider will go to £10 at some point in the next 12 months on one of the sales. Good value either way.
Hi again guys. Is RDR 1 50% off, or is it $50? I didn't see any discount on the US eShop. Also, since RDR 1 is basically a straight bare-bones port, is it still worth picking up? Still worth the price of admission? Further thoughts and help appreciated
@OmegaX83 Looks like it is not on sale on the eShop, only physical copies from some stores such as GameStop, Amazon, Walmart. Of course 50% off RDR is still more expensive than Tomb Raider.
Hi yet again guys. Now, I am trying to decide between RDR 1 and Kirby Air Riders. I only have enough money in eShop Account for one of them, as the other 80 set aside for Prime 4. Has anyone played Air Riders on S2? How is it? I haven't played the one that was on GameCube. Further thoughts and help appreciated
@OmegaX83 I'm not too interested in Red Dead Redemption since I'm not huge into M-rated games (plus I like my old west themes to be family-friendly, lol), but I have played the demo of Kirby Air Riders and I enjoyed it. The controls are simple to get a hold of (you're only using the control stick and the B and Y buttons), but I guess it might take a bit of time to get used to. I don't recall having trouble getting into the GameCube game except for maybe Top Ride mode.
But ultimately, I think it depends on what kind of game you're in the mood for. Either an open-world game, or a racing game.
