@NintendoDad You have a good point - I haven't thought of the mouse functionality as an alternative control style. I was seeing it as mandatory controls for whatever games wanted to use it, but it's more likely that they'll be offered as another control option.

Well. I hope that it is an "additional" option, but I suspect there will be games that it's functionality (whatever it is) will be so ingrained into the DNA of the game that it would be the main and preferred way to play that game. 'like the touch screen or pen on some DS/3DS games.
But hopefully there will be so many games available for the Switch 2 that we could just ignore the games that we don't connect with and still have way more games to play than we have time. LOL.
Like FortNite to use mouse and COD and something PC games that uses mouse would be a great potential to use on Switch 2. MineCraft and Splatoon but basically any PC 4K60fps DLSS games that uses mouse I would take a jump at trying out. But basically if any mouse pc games that can come over would be something to see on Switch 2 with mouse gestures.
How about DOOM that is a mouse control game and imagine Switch 2 mouse with left your movement and right your aiming or reverse for left hand users. Now that brings in a new level of gaming accuracy and FPS fun.

I have not played it yet, but the gameplay I saw looked nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. I was also amazed how customizable it is. Since the game was also released on PlayStation 5, I think it is possible, that we might get a Switch 2 port.
@RedWolf In general for FPS games, Switch was already good because it had gyro navigation on target. So you had an "air mouse" already. It was good. But OK Mouse is better.
To be honest, i dont know how much i would use the mouse function and play that type of games. I would most likely just play regular style games. But it would be 🤯 and fun to see CS GO on switch 2. With the Xbox friendship, i guess age of empires and such would be added.
