I'm sure there will be mouse attachment housing for the controllers. What PC games that use a mouse would you like to see ported over on the Nintendo Switch 2 (NS2)? Pretty much any FPS and Diablo type game for me. I can see almost everything from Steam being brought over if devs want to code for it.

Gordon Ramsay has a Nintendo Switch.

It'd be cool if point and clicks like Monkey Island were ported over.

The Sims would be an excellent pick. Traditional controllers are awful for this game.

However I'm not sold on the mouse idea yet. How would they make it work without an appropriate surface? I don't know about you, but I never have a table near me when playing videogames, not to mention I usually lie down to play.

By lie down do you mean play handheld mode?

If so, then maybe the mouse functionality (if there is mouse functionality) just gets replaced with touch screen?

@NintendoDad Not necessarily, I also lie down when I'm playing in my TV from the couch if it's not an action-heavy game that requires more focus. But the point is that even if I sit "properly" to play, I still don't have any tables near me to use a mouse.

That makes sense.

Just reading your reply it got me thinking . . . the Switch(2) has a lot of different ways to play.

A lot of different options for how different gamers want to play.

Handheld, Table Top, TV Mode. You can play by yourself, or with others. You can play connected to the Internet, or not connected to the Internet. You can play standing up, sitting down and laying down. Or jogging on the spot for that matter. And now it looks like you'll be able to play Switch 2 In a House with a Mouse!

Just another option available to us gamers!

Portal plays best with a mouse so I hope the portal collection gets updated to support the new controls.
All of Tomorrow's Corporation's games (World of Goo, Little Inferno, Human Resources Machine) play better on PC due to mouse controls so I hope we see those get updates.
Not a PC title, but any of the Pikmin games would play really well with mouse controls.

Black & White would be great. Rollercoaster Tycoon 1+2 Switch 2 edition. The Settlers III+IV. The Longest Journey. The Patrician 2. Cultures 1+2.

Monkey Island series, and other obvious P&C games from that 'era' - "Day of the Tentacle" etc

@Jhena Good luck on Black and White. Lionhead Studios went under years ago and with them any chance of Black and White.

Heroes of Might and Magic 3 would be so awesome, I would even take the new one coming out but with Ubisoft having the rights that's not going to happen. Would be awesome though right @Zuljaras?

Is there really no chance? The internet says, the ip is currently owned by Xbox Game Studios. I still have the original disks plus expansion but it would be nice to play it on newer systems.

True, Heroes of Might & Magic 3 would be awesome.

All the strategy games, I prefer turn-based, but RTS too. Point-and-click adventure games. All the games that scream PC mouse and keyboard. The ones that reviews always say "the console controls are clunky", etc.

Planet Zoo, Sim City, Civilization.

Besides Mouse games . . . could this new controller feature help play Trackball or Paddle games?

Paddle games like Pong, Breakout, and Night Driver! ?

Or Trackball games like Missle Command, Centipede and Millipede?

@NeonPizza I can see a modern version of Mario Paint for NS2 as a launch title.

Gordon Ramsay has a Nintendo Switch.

Tasuki

@Jhena Actually EA owns the Black and White IP not MS and EA has said that they have no reason to return to the game or IP on multiple occasions. While MS did purchase Lionhead Studios, who'd go on to make the Fable games, Black and White was not part of the deal.

Weird, I looked again and the internet says the ip belongs to Microsoft, but the distribution/publishing rights belong to Electronic Arts.

Still, this means no Black & White for the Switch 2. Thanks for telling me.

I would love to see more strategy games from the PC such as Age of the Empires and Starcraft. Also I hope most developers for already Switch games, to make a patch to support this upcoming feature on their already published adventure game.
