Topic: Nintendo Switch 2

I'd not thought of this until now but I might get to actually play Switch 2 for myself at PAX East this year, Honestly that's highly likely since various games will be there and surely some of them will show off Switch 2 versions of games, but I meant specifically Nintendo will be there.

That being said, I'm not sure how much Nintendo will actually be there. They used to have plenty but after the pandemic they've only had one Pokemon game per year and some TCG stuff and while I've seen people say this year will be different, I'm not entirely convinced, more just hopeful (though I would be interested in playing Pokopia as a demo than a Pokemon RPG). Very weird situation where a lot of the big companies haven't come back to this show in recent years. Like last year the only upcoming AAA game I can remember being there was Elden Ring Nightreign. Which is not inherently bad, but it feels like it sums up the current state of gaming where AAA games barely even feel like they exist half the time.

Tried Doom and Wolfenstein 2 handheld on Switch 2. Both lock to 720p rock solid 30 fps. Texture quality is still low, but they look sooo much better not running at 360p during heavy action scenes. If they ever do Doom The Dark Ages on NS2 or even NS2 Editions for these games, they're gonna crush.

Can't wait for Indiana Jones now!

Just out of curiosity I fired up House of the Dead and House of the Dead 2 on Switch 2 via BC. It offered single joycon use, dual joycon or Pro Controller. I chose Pro Controller.

And with the right sensitivities and other settings, it was straight 🔥 🔥 🔥 in a way I never imagined possible! I beat the first on Switch and gyro drift was a MASSIVE pain, constantly recentering.

But with Switch 2 Pro Controller accuracy without drift, combined with dual right analog stick + gyro for aiming, I'm telling you it felt as good as being in an arcade. It was phenomenal!

These games just got deleted off my hardmodded Switch OLED and Lite OLED, and permanently installed on my Switch 2. Now I'm curious to try Panzer Dragoon again. This is a revelation! I knew gyro was better but I didn't know it could be this accurate on Switch 2!

If you get the system and have the games just shoot me a message if you want my controller settings in options. This rocks! Now these 2 games instantly jumped up in my "must keep installed on Switch 2" list.
