Topic: My hope for nintendogs remake for switch 2

I have been hoping for a nintendogs(or nintendogs + cats would be even better) since the switch 2 was announced. And I am sure I have not been the only one who would like this.

We have a mic on the switch 2 that we now know can let you talk into a game thanks to animal crossing new horizons and the megaphone, so why not?

Nintendogs(+ cats) is still one of my all time favorite games and while we do have three(?) slightly similar games in the two different Little Friends: Dogs and Cats games and the My Universe: Puppies and Kittens game, they aren't nintendogs and you also can't talk to your pets in the sense that they respond to you.

What I would like to see is a nintendogs game where you once again name your pets by talking to them with your actual voice, train them with your voice, and maybe even do some new things with your pets by voice in a nintendogs/nintendogs + cats switch 2 addition

(If anyone knows of other nintendogs-like games I would love it if you could tell me of them in my comments preferably.)

Nintendogs would absolutely rip on Switch 2. I think a new entry, with the ability to scan your doggo with the web cam, to bring them into the game would be a really fun feature

Oh my goodness. Yes! This would be a wonderful addition. And it would definitely give me a reason to get/want the web cam, even if just for the purpose of scanning my dogs into the game.
Or at the very least they could add more breed options, including a handful of different looking plain old mutts, a few doodle breeds(maybe both several/a few of the more common ones and a couple less known ones(?)), and other mixed breeds that aren't mutts and aren't doodles. That would be my dream game

I had to euthanize my service dog on the ninth of this month and I already am a little sad there's no dog that looks enough like her in the old nintendogs to use, and from what I've seen there's none in the similar games on the switch(but even if there are, I really would prefer to be able to talk to her in game self and talk to the the other dogs I'd want to add into the game too.

I’m sorry for your loss. I really loved this series on the DS and I agree it needs to come back. There has been nothing else quite like it since. More breeds for sure! I just think they will continue to segment the breeds into different editions like the Pokémon games but as long as one edition has my current breed, I’m in! Though I strongly believe a means to recreate past or present dogs would be a fantastic feature.

My wife had a family dog that recently passed away too. It would be lovely to honour the pupper in a game

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that... being severely allergic to something you love must be very hard. I hope if Nintendo does make a port, that they will include cats again for you, and for any and all people who love cats but can't own them.
