I sold a bunch of old games and even Lego sets to afford a Switch 2. But where on Earth are people buying them?! I know demand is exceeding supply, but ever since launch I've not seen a single one for sale. I check the following a few times every day: Amazon, Currys, Smyths, Argos, Nintendo store, Game, John Lewis, Very. I don't want to risk getting one from eBay or things like that.
You can try using a service that informs you when stock is available.
I previously used Stock Informer to get an RTX 3070, and my Switch 2 from Argos. https://www.stockinformer.co.uk/checker-nintendo-switch-2
They'll email you when they've detected stock availability for a given site.
I coincidentally checked the My Nintendo UK Store earlier this morning, and they had some Switch 2 consoles in stock, but they appear to have already sold those.
"Hot Stock" is another great 'informer app' that sends a notification as soon as stock lands. I usually pay the 5£ monthly premium for the better service and then cancel.
Worked amazingly in getting me some PS5s during the pandemic, for friends/family etc
Thanks guys. It's strange, I've already manually requested to be notified from all the sites mentioned above. But I never get an email saying its in stock, as well as checking the site myself. I even went into Argos to ask about new stock coming in and they had no idea
Just don't buy a secondhand one or a resale/warehouse one from Amazon etc as many have online functionality disabled now due to the original owner trying a Mig Switch cartridge in them. These are making their way into returns and secondhand sales now.
