@DjLewe78 What hard work? The Wii U has been pretty much dead to a lot of people this year, and the 3DS is getting mainly ports of niche Japanese games that were already released.

@FragRed I get that, but by the same token, they still got wages to pay and games to sell. You can't complain about them hocking their wares (that are actually ready to sell lol!)
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
What difference does it make to us when they reveal it?
We are all gonna buy one. No matter what the specs or name so like i said before, which one of us forum posters has the right to tell Nintendo how to market their machine. We have date, now we wait
Also im sure Nintendo arnt just sitting on millions of finished NXs to annoy us. Everything is for a reason.
@DjLewe78 Ok question DJ! What is worse. Waiting till March knowing how awesome something is going to be or waiting till not knowing what the thing is?
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
@DjLewe78 Are you sure about that? Because the impression I'm getting from people based on the leaks from Eurogamer is actually quite the opposite when looking at what people are saying across the Internet. and that includes Nintendo fan sites like this one.
And no, Nintendo definelty aren't sitting on loads of finished NX games, they need to have enough games in development for the first two or three years. But they did state the reason the NX was not being shown at E3 was to give more time on making sure the games were ready. and that is actually a wise decision, especially as Zelda received so much praise.
But the longer they wait to reveal the NX the more leaks and rumours come about, and that's damaging.

@DjLewe78 Nintendo is not Beyoncé. Some people and companies can pull off stunts like that because they are hugely popular and successful. Nintendo as a brand is struggling.
I wouldn't either. Nintendo, the company is financially sound. Nintendo, the brand, is struggling to convince consumers, particularly in the home console market.
Nintendo is not a toddler that needs to be protected from the internet, let people speculate and say what they want, I promise their feelings won't be hurt.
@DjLewe78 Your right No matter what we have to wait till next year for this console.
when its final shows us it's beautiful face all theses rumours will be forgot about but for now is fun to speculate and see what crazy things show up.
Swopped my Saga master system for my friend NES and iv never look back.
@DjLewe78
I think you're getting a bit unhinged, sir.
There's nothing wrong with having discussions, even if we're only tossing around rumors and such.
Bottom line: You can be mad at yourself all you want. Go ahead. Totally your right. Stop coming here if you feel that strongly about it. But for the people who enjoy it, why are you trying to crash the party? Because that's kind of what your comments seem to be aimed at. Spreading your personal frustration to everyone else here.
And to your point about us somehow "undoing" Nintendo's "hard work"? ... I don't even get that. How is one thread with like half a dozen regular posters that is viewed by MAYBE a couple hundred people undoing an entire company's hardwork that is visible to millions of people? You realize that much larger sites like IGN and Gamespot have been publishing NX rumor articles as well, right? Full of comments from a MUCH larger userbase.
@DjLewe78 I maybe the only one getting your point. Why is everyone wasting time in a nowhere thread when they could be playing games. I agree.
Because some people are techies who like talking about tech? Speculating about what may or may not be in the NX. What one rumoured setup will mean for content over another. Whether or not a particular idea makes sense or not. How believable some false rumours are over other ones.
As for Nintendo themselves and what this speculation means for them? Frankly I think it means jack. Who aside from the people who love speculating remember the Wii HD speculations? Long arguments about whether they'd use disks, bring back cartridges or go the download only route. Certain analysts going on E3 broadcasts talking about how Nintendo needed to release a box that would match the 360/PS3 or be doomed. All of this a good year before the Wii U was officially announced.
Yes the NX stuff has dragged on a bit longer than usual. If it wasn't for the DeNA stuff they probably wouldn't have mentioned it at all until E3 this year. They mentioned it to make sure people didn't think they were going out of the dedicated hardware business. And you know what? Has anyone been talking about a Nintendo Phone? Is this wait since E3 any longer than it has usually been?
You said it yourself: it's a guess. A guess it's not a fact. And it's a guess as good as any, meaning it's just as good as any other since neither side would have actual facts to back up their assumptions. I'm not sure what your point is here, you're basically agreeing with my previous point.
On our side of the fence it's an educated guess. On Eurogamer's side it might not be a guess at all. Note that I wasn't making a point about whether or not it will be announced in September. I was making a point about your swift dismissal of what Eurogamer has said. Quite frankly, what Eurogamer has said in relation to the NX isn't on equal par with random forum speculation.

An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
@DjLewe78 Well it's quite presumptiuous of you to assume that everyone here will buy an NX. Of course, being that this is a nintendo site and 99% of posters here are Nintendo fans in some capacity, you're prbably not too far off. I know that I will get an NX at some point. I will probably even pre-order the console first chance I get, but that's because I've never bought a console on launch day so it might as well be this one. But to get to my point, the reason everyone is anxious for Nintendo to show and tell us what the NX is, is most probably because we want to know why in the heck we should be excited for the dang thing other than Zelda and some very odd confirmations of 3rd party titles. Especially for those keen on a pre-order/day one purchase, but also those who want to be convinced that they might actually want Nintendo's new console. How can we have any concrete confidence in the machine if we don't have any concrete idea of what it is?
Thankfully enough, Nintendo's recent Direct announcement after my previous post has provoked a reality check in some people, so there's that.
Why are people getting so worked up over this on either side? It's just nonsense. The date of the announcement doesn't really mean much of anything. And frankly the 3DS direct doesn't change a thing.
At this point September is still more likely a month because of the Eurogamer leak. Because leaks are going to be the only thing that'll tell us when this will happen. Nintendo won't tell us. We know from the sudden 3DS direct (and the same for every Direct before it) we won't get much notice. And of all the leaks thus far the Eurogamer one is the only one that adds up.
I'm not going to lose my **** if it's not September. I'm just saying that people who are guessing September? I reckon they're doing a bit more than just throwing darts randomly. They're not waving their hands in the air and saying the obvious "well we don't know" either. They're making the best prediction they can make based on the evidence as it is. And rather than calling them nuts I admire them for that.
What's the fun of a speculation thread if nobody sticks their head out?
Personally I don't see any real benefit of revealing NX in September instead of October or November. I think December is out, since it would probably be drowned in the Christmas noise.
January is a real possibility, because they would have the limelight all for themselves + more games could have footage.
