So we all know it's bound to happen so what do you all hope, want for the next chapter in terms Super Smash Bros games? More Nintendo exclusive characters like Mario, Link, DK etc or more guest characters like Ryu, Bayonetta, Cloud etc. Would you want the game play style to change more attacks? Discuss away here.

I am hoping that Nintendo keeps up the relations wit third party developers and have more quest characters. Too bad they can't strike a deal with MS and get some Killer Instinct characters in the mix. Would also love to see some characters from Super Mario 2 like Mouser or Wart. One character I would really like to see would be Spyro the Dragon (since Activision owns the rights to that) or Rayman would be an interesting addition.

As for game play it would stay the same, due to the fact that that is Smash Bros.

It would almost definitely be the Wii U/3DS game with all the dlc, and maybe 1 or 2 added goodies (like maybe Ice Climbers and that Rhythm Heaven character they might have had planned? Pretty please?). It would probably be a good idea, given that the next Smash game probably won't be a thing for a while. However, I'm not falling for this rumor just yet. I know it's from a reliable source, but here's the thing: remember last year when reliable sources said that Shovel Knight and the Inkling would be in Smash? Yeah...

There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

Figured I'd post the calculations that I posted in the Wii U thread about DLC:

Given the rumour of the NX port, I figured I'd show some calculations for the DLC only for Wii U (in £):

All stages and characters: £16.16 (Fighter Bundle #1) + £7.16 (Pirate Ship, Dream Land 64, Hyrule Castle 64, Peach's Castle 64) + £2.29 (Super Mario Maker) + £10.78 (Cloud & Midgar, Bayonetta & Umbra Clock Tower) + £4.49 (Corrin) = £40.88 (assuming there's no unannounced stages or characters)

All DLC (stages, characters, Mii costumes): £9.11 (Collection #1) + £19.88 (Collection #2) + £9.10 (Collection #3) + £8.91 (Collection #4) + £6.77 (Collection #5) + £14.02 (Collection #6) = £67.79 (assuming there's no unannounced content)

Note that Fighter Bundle #1 contains Mewtwo, Roy, Lucas, Ryu and the stage Suzaku Castle. Also the bundles do not have any discount over buying everything separately.

Not to get off on a tangent, but you know what 3rd party character would blow people's minds if added to NX port...

Scorpion from MK.

If you had scorpion in the game with Ryu, that would be crazy. I wonder if Warner would allow it if that got an amiibo. Also to really shine people on, you could allow Scorpion to "Finish him" with some form of snes "ok for everyone" finisher.

Lol I was thinking of that too. I would also get a chuckle that every time you hit Scorpion grey "sweat" would fly off of him.

Another character that I would like would be Earthworm Jim.

Why bother releasing the NX if it's just going to be a WiiU port already anyway. How about just do something about the WiiU and Smash now. I don't think they'd do that. Aside from Zelda, they don't really do what you guys are saying might happen. Watch, the fighting game Namco is making will just end up being Tekken or Soulcaliber. If your claim is Nintendo is involved, ninty characters have been involved in both of those games before.

It's too soon for a new game, so I agree with most people that "Super Smash Bros. for NX" would more than likely be a Smash Bros. Wii U port with shinier visuals, all DLC included, and probably some new content to justify fans getting the game again. The content probably wouldn't be too significant considering this is being described as a launch title.

And if that is, indeed, the case, I would be more than happy. And I even own Smash for 3DS and Wii U. But see, I never bought the DLC, so I would be interested in this.

@NintyMan: Too soon for a new game? Sure, it's too soon to release Smash 5...or even announce it...but develop it? Nah. I am sure the cogs for 5 are turning and as no one on this forum knows when / what NX is it is difficult to say too early without a date,

I agree. My guess for new content would be putting in Smash Run from the 3DS version, and bringing back Break the Targets.

As for characters, as long as Sonic and Luigi are in the game, I'll be happy. Would love to see Rayman and Spyro get in as well, like Tasuki mentioned. It should be the original Spyro though... no Skylanders or Legend of Spyro! Shantae, Crash, and the Inklings are welcome, too.

It's Drumstick from Diddy Kong Racing's turn to battle.

@Blue_Blur: Yes the original Spyro and I forgot about Shantae. I can almost guarantee that the Inklings from Splatoon will be in at some point considering that they are a Nintendo IP and are really popular now thanks to Splatoon.

I know it's a stupid rumor but I am sure there will be a Smash NX. But in all honesty I wasn't even going off the rumor I just thought it would be fun to discuss what we would like to see in the next Smash.

I also agree that this is a stupid rumour,

But still Professor Layton, Ridley, Ghirahim, Inklings, MUR FIRE EMBLEM and another 1 or 2 great 3rd party characters and I'd be well on board. Again. Thinking Rayman is a likely one, and Scorpion would be fantastic.

Thanks for doing this, saves me working it out. I don't have any DLC but it is all tempting, until you see it totals twice what I paid for the game in the first place. This rumour has put a big dent in the chance of me buying into the DLC for Wii U now, until I hear some NX launch details.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

IMHO, a Wii U port of Smash for NX would be quite attractive if the NX is a portable, since the 3DS version is quite a different beast.
