@Eel : Much appreciated. So jelly of your progress (and that shiny Togekiss!).
I only started playing in late May or so. My previous iPhone and (current) iPad are over a decade old, so I wasn't able to download the app at launch.
It looks like the only major event that I've missed out on is the Raikou distribution, which I hope will be repeated at some point.
My biggest peeve with the app is that you cannot access your Dex/style library when "researching" wild Pokémon after waking up, and I've accidentally missed out on capturing quite a few Pokémon as a result (I've since made a "Note" to list all of the Pokémon that I've encountered, but not caught).
Another annoyance is that the number of biscuits you can obtain with sleep points is limited per month, and I've already bought up all of the stock (and I only have about 4-5 biscuits on hand, so I need to be selective with what I catch).
All in all, it's a nice little alarm clock/collect-a-thon. I also hope that they fix the recording feature so that most of them aren't just comprised of the alarm going off.
Porygon did nothing wrong.

@SillyG I’ve been playing since day one so I’m pretty up to date 😎
Don’t worry to much about befriending them all at the first chance, they’ll reappear eventually and they’ll likely have better skills later.
If you still have the premium pass trial, try using it right before the month changes, that way you’ll be able stock up on a lot of useful items and extra biscuits.

I appreciate the heads-up. No, I haven't redeemed it yet. I'm in no rush to, but I suppose if I'm ever in dire straits with items/sleep points, I'll consider using it then.
I'm also happy to report that I probably don't snore (and I'm from a family full of snorers). I recorded myself sleeping a couple of years ago, and I was surprised that I wasn't breathing through my mouth at all, and that I hardly budged for the most part.
I've also been told that I grind my teeth in my sleep (bruxism), which was first brought to my attention all the way back in 2011, and while the recording from a couple of years ago captured me grinding my teeth (with my mouth closed), the Pokémon app is yet to pick it up (I have no idea whether I'm still doing it).
I'll probably pick one up the next time it's restocked, though I'm a little on the fence about it as I'm trying to limit my exposure to radiation and the like while I sleep (I set my devices to flight mode before hitting the hay), though I have a Poké Ball Plus and the original Go Plus for my Go needs. 😅
Based on the app's recordings, I haven't sleep-talked yet either, though I had been told a couple of times that I have (though it's pretty rare that I sleep in the same room as somebody else).
A lot of people are finding suicune in my friend list, and none of them have seen any sleeping style besides “energy storing sleep”. I’m beginning to doubt other styles exist for them!
