I do have a weird Problem. In the GTS (mobile Version of Pokemon Home) there are Pokemon listed that want to be traded for Meltan.

Now I do have that Pokemon but I can't trade Meltan for an other Pokemon.

The line says "special Pokemon can not be traded". So far so good.

But why can you ask for "special Pokemon" at the GTS in the first place?

PSA: The same problem with surprise trade on Sw/Sh exists in Pokemon Home. Don't use the Wonder Box!

Error code 9013 I cannot get back into Home on Switch or my phone.

I'm so angry right now.

@MaxlRoseGNR Use the trade feature at your own risk. I sent in a support ticket and GF/Pokemon did fix my account. But that doesn't mean they've managed to block the hackers who are causing the problem in the first place. I don't trust it anymore. I will not surprise trade or use the wonder box again. I wont even trade with strangers online directly. It's simply not worth the risk to me.

@MaxlRoseGNR I'm extremely familiar with the post, if assuming you read it too, you know that the problem is still happening and some people were even hit with the error, again, after it got fixed. Which is why I'm still not using the wonder box or surprise trade and suggesting to others that they also not use it.

If you want to just hope the problem is completely dealt with, that's up to you. Go ahead and keep trading, I really hope nothing goes wrong. But you were warned. Me? I've got a collection that dates back 17 years. Back to the GBA games. I'm not gonna play around with that. I've got event Pokemon that I'd never be able to replace. And shiny Pokemon that would take extremely long to replace. So my breed-rejects? They're getting released. At least until several months of no-problems go by or an official statement from Pokemon explains the issue in detail and that it was fully fixed and resolved.

@Heavyarms55 In the patchnotes of the latest Pokemon Home update it is said, that the problem you occurred is solved.

@MaxlRoseGNR It's not. I'm literally talking to someone else who got wrecked by it. They might have fixed it for some people, but if you get hit again, you get locked out again.

Is there any plans to purge gts on Pokemon home of impossible trades so people who want to trade can? Right now it's basically not possible to trade certain Pokemon because of this issue.

Azuris

I need some informational Help please

  • I want to save some of my Pokemon from being stack in the (Ultra) - Sun/Moon Games.

So my Questions:

  • I can now use the Pokebank free
  • But Pokemon Home costs Money?
  • Does Pearl/Diamond support Home yet?
  • Items are Stuck, right? (Damn)

@Azuris
1. Yes
2. If you go for the Premium plan. The Basic version gives you one free box which may/may not be enough depending on whether you have it filled already.
3. Sadly no (as much as I want them to already).
4. I can't remember but I assume so yes.

@Azuris @Fizza I certain that they said Bank will be free at same time as a closure for buys will happen at 2023 by the end of March. And we thought they will finally announce month or full date when update for Home to support BDSP and L:A will happen in Pokémon Day Presents, but nothing, so we still left with somewhere in 2022 date.

Now that HOME compatability for BDSP and PLA is coming REALLY soon, I wanted to use this time to ask a few questions about HOME as someone who's getting it for the first time with these updates:
1. If I get HOME now only for Switch, can I then link it to a phone later? I know it gives you the option to link when you start it up for the first time but as someone who doesn't have a phone (shocking I know), I would like to know if that option is still available after you initially set everything up.
2. Would it mess with save data in any way (apart from the obvious of moving Pokemon away)? I've had Shield for the last 3-4 years and I want to make sure nothing goes wrong during the process of transferring (especially when I have the event Ash Cap Pikachu's and shiny Galarian Birds).
3. How does it interact with physical games? All of the Pokemon games I have are physical so I'm wondering whether or not I'd have to swap each individual game out in order to transfer mons from that specific game (e.g PLA) or if it will just take the save data on the account and use that rather than having to have a game inside the Switch.

These are all the thoughts I have right now but more may come to me later. If anyone knows the answer to these questions, please let me know!

No problems there. Both versions use the same account and the same HOME cloud box data.

No, apart from the actual moving of Pokémon. Any items held will return to your in-game bag and won't make the transition to any other games.

Another thing to bear in mind is that movesets vary on a game-by-game basis. Based on how foreign moves are treated with Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee Pokémon transferred to Sword/Shield, your Pokémon will retain any of their incompatible moves, but they simply cannot be used in battle. So, if for some reason you want to leave their movesets be in case any subsequent games may support them, then you are able to do so (at least for now).

Fortunately, you don't need the cartridges at all in order to use Pokémon HOME (nor will the games need to be installed on your system if you have purchased the digital versions). Pokémon HOME accesses any available save data that corresponds to your user account as stored in your system memory, and you are able to check out your boxes in their entirety.

Another thing worth mentioning is that Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee Pokémon can be sent forward to Sword/Shield, but not the reverse (perhaps because Let's Go are considered to be Gen VII games) and based on the graphic issued concerning the upcoming update, it looks like Pokémon obtained in Gen VIII games only be returned to their games of origin. I suspect that any Pokémon obtained in these games can be sent forward to next generation games and beyond (where compatible), but not other games within the same generation, however, we'll learn more once the updates are live.

"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"

I forgot, should I renew my subscription with Pokemon Home on Switch annually?
I haven't touched my Pokemon Sword for very long time after I finished the storyline.
