Topic: Nintendo Music App

I have no clue what will happen next week. Maybe the original GameBoy Pokemon tracks??

Monday is a national holiday in Japan so that may mix things up again.

It's crazy that they pushed this week's release so far back... I feel like it would have made more sense to do a normal Monday drop, then an early Pokemon release (which would also allow them to have Monday off for the Emperor's Birthday). But I suppose this just shows that predicting the ways of Shed Guy is futile!

Boy this has been a week for predictions.

I'm super happy we finally have an older Pokemon game on the app. Besides Legends Arceus, I think the Switch Pokemon games' overworld music just hasn't been up to the usual quality.

I'm also glad they chose FireRed and LeafGreen for Gen 1 since I feel like original Game Boy music just doesn't really work with my study mixes.

My three favourite discoveries from the playlist were
Castle Bowser Battle,
Hyper Diver/Anxiety Scenario and
Japon.
I also added Emblem Engage to my playlist. It's pretty camp but still slaps so definitely one you have to be in the mood for ( I was earlier XD)

I'm not done listening yet, but to whomever picked Stow-on-Side: good pick! I added that to my Favorites playlist!

I find it kind of funny that half the songs you mentioned there (Castle Bowser Battle and Emblem Engage) were suggested by me 😅.

My one issue with this latest release is that none of the songs can be extended. Expected given the precedent so far, but it still sucks :-/

That shouldn't be an issue, the release time is Tuesday morning in Japan. Still good to know though!

Yep it's really sad that the Pokemon music can't be extended. You have no idea how much I want to extend Postwick and Jubilife Village.

Idk who picked Bellyflop by Aquariyum but it was such a goofy song and I loved it!

Emblem Engag was certainly a song.... It was fun, but it felt like a remaster of a 90s animated TV main theme if that makes sense haha!

It is very funny that of the Pokemon RPGs I got into, I love every soundtrack except this one specifically.

Like its not bad but it does have highly questionable updates for the gen 1 music imo. A shame since R/S/E is a top 5 GBA soundtrack.

@CaleBoi25 I was the one who picked Stow on Side, and I’m glad someone else likes it too! I knew it was underrated, especially since Sw/Sh have such a bad sigma attached to them
