This is a petition for avoiding the removal of video games. It could change everything and stop every gamer's worries, because most games are sold worldwide. The only thing that is demanded is being able to keep playing the games you have bought. The video explains all the details.
@CaleBoi25 If you are an EU citizen, yes. If not, you have to be a resident. This is touched on in the video, but you can still help by spreading the word, just as Banjo did on here when I told him about the petition.
For example, if you're on personal terms with a YouTube content creator with a decent following, or if there are other sites where you are able to spread the information... anyways I'm grateful for the enthusiasm of you and everyone else here, as this affects us all.
Sadly I can't do much to help, despite genuinely wanting to do so. A US citizen without any friends from the EU. Wish that America would start doing this as well.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
Thank you @CaleBoi25 and everyone! The guy that started it is American, so everyone can help in one way or another; posting it somewhere or telling people that are EU citizens. It's really fast and easy to sign (link takes you there). The video explains interesting things like how petitions work and what does it mean to not "destroy" video games. The terms are very reasonable, so publishers don't use excuses and since the big piblishers publish worldwide, it will benefit the whole world eventually.
Well... looks like I can't sign this, because I'm a US citizen. Otherwise I would've done it by now. I am good friends with another Nintendo Life user however, who lives in Ireland. Tagging @Fizza right here in this thread. Also tagging @jedgamesguy and @Toads-Friend just in case, since they're from the UK.
Thank you @Banjo- for spreading the word here on NL.
"Give yourself the gift of being joyfully you."
Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World
AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️

If only Britain didn’t leave the European Union four years ago 🫶🫶 maybe I’d be able to sign this one.
Thanks for sharing Banjo-. I think that this should be a fundamental right.
Planned obsolescence applies to products that are meant to be consumed, but until recently you bought video games to use them, and although for many it is not obvious, there is a big difference. I don't want a subscription disguised as a good: I want to keep playing in the future the new games I buy like when I get my very old Game Boy out of the drawer and play my classic games.
