Topic: Hypnospace Outlaw

Hypnospace Outlaw releases August 27th and the demo is out now. From the demo alone I’m already pretty interested and wanted to hear what others thought so far.

So it released this week and it is just as good as I thought it would be. The game does a perfect job at feeling like a blast from the past while feeling completely fresh. There really is nothing else like it. Some websites are well made advertisements, some are comics or humor pages, some are reviews fir games or movies, and some are some of the most random trash you’ve ever seen. It feels like each of the “users” have their own personalities that come across only from the websites. I’ve only been playing for a couple of hours and the game is a ton of fun with lots of content to explore and hours of good and purposefully bad music. The only negative I have is that when trying to open a few certain music files the game would crash and would reset to the last spot I logged off at. Hopefully they can fix it in a patch but other than that it’s been great.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who’s on the edge and doesn’t know if it’ll be very good. I would easily give it a 9/10

@0nett I had no idea it had steam workshop support. That’s really cool! I might have to look into that. I’ve always wished Nintendo would have something similar but I know that will never happen.

2 things:

1. The crashing is intentional. This is the first game I’ve ever seen on Switch that crashes intentionally. It’s insane and amazing.

2. This game is stinking huge I was trying to do one thing and it sent me down a rabbit hole and next thing I knew I had been playing for 2 hours. I’m lost but it’s the good kind of lost.
