Topic: why are some gamecube game cases purple?

Hi I was wondering why some gamecube game boxes are purple and some are black?

(I don't know, I just thought it was a good opportunity to use that image)

I have never seen any purple Gamecube cases all I have ever seen are black. Were these games new or used when you bought them?

Maybe because the launch color of the gamecube was purple?? I'm not sure honestly.

Are you sure it's not just a replacement case you got? You should take a picture if you can.

Yeah purple is the original cube colour

Maybe this was region specific or a reprint when a game sold well but I think that was a silver cas.

They are purple... huh...
I can say, Mario Sunshine is black for NTSC.

I hope my games are real then :/ but I have never seen a black super mario sunshine on ebay though

It's either real, or all the Mario Sunshines on UK eBay are fake

I never saw a purple one, or maybe I did? I don't remember. But it coud have to do with the fact that the original cube was indeed purple? So I wouldn't find it that weird to be honest.

some PAL gamecube games had different color cases. The Neighbors from Hell game had a blue case.

Am I color blind or is that blue to me? Maybe I'm just not seeing it well.

looks like a blueish purple. could be either to my eyes....

I think some UK games are purple because mine is the UK version and I don't see any black uk versions
