I used to be able to link Nintendo Life and it would embed in Discord. It would give a nice preview of the main image in the article and give about a sentence or two of the text in the article. I'm not sure if this was a change on Discord's end or on Nintendo Life's end.
If you are responding to me in forums or a comment I would much appreciate it if you quoted or tagged me in your responses so I can see it and respond. Otherwise I usually can’t tell that you’ve replied. Thanks!
If you go and view a web page's source and inspect the <head> tag contents, you'll see a lot of meta properties.
The ones that list meta properties such as "og:title", "og:description", "og:image", "og:url", "og:site_name", and "og:type" should be how Discord fetches and displays previews for messages, and it looks like they're present on several Nintendo Life pages I've checked.
It's either a service issue with Discord, or it might be a setting on the server or with your messaging partner that disallows previews.
@Setery as the others are suggesting here, they should still be working OK. We have all the required metatags for Discord to do a preview - it uses the same as Twitter, Facebook etc. Therefore if its not working it might be to do with the server or a temporary issue on Discord.
