So I'm having some issues with my launch version switch, the picture randomly started cutting in and out and has now completely stopped sending audio and video to the T.V. I've tried using 2 different docks, (they aren't the problem, my daughter's works in both) and I've tried using multiple hdmi cables (also not the problem, second switch works fine with all of them). So obviously there is an issue withnthe usb-c port. I've tried cleaning it with compressed air and that did nothing. Does anyone have any advice before I take it in for repair? I've searched online and have found no answers aside of what I just stated that ive tried.

@Someguy1986 You didn't mention resetting the AC adapter. When there is no picture displayed on the TV, resetting the AC adapter is typically the solution. I've never heard of audio not working, though, but you may as well try to reset the AC adapter, because it only takes minute. Just follow the directions.

When nothing solves the console problem, it likely means a hardware failure, which requires repair, unfortunately. I can tell you that Nintendo will ask if console is updated (probably is, but make sure, it will make your interaction quicker). Fortunately, Nintendo has very good customer service in north america(seattle). The chat messenger and phone line are both good options. I pasted the link to contact page at bottom. If you use the phone line, let them know your email when they ask. They keep a handy database, in case you call back, any rep can look you up and know what you've done.
