Topic: User's messages not shown.

So, I was in a thread earlier, and saw that a specific user had messages that people were replying to, however I couldn't see said messages at all. I don't have the person blocked, since I just checked my block list. Is there any explanation for why I can no longer see that person's messages, and any way to fix it?

Edit: I checked the user's page as well, and it says that they don't have any forum posts or comments to their name, when they do.

@VoidofLight They blocked you from seeing their posts. I bet I can guess who.

@Tasuki So, if you block someone, it now blocks them from seeing their posts as well? Also, I don't know what I did to make this specific individual upset or mad enough to have them block me.

Edit: I get the reason why you are blocked from seeing a message from specific users if they block you, since it stops them from replying to someone who isn't going to read said post, but it's kind of a bad tool as well, seeing as you're effectively alienated from conversations that spark off, given you have absolutely no context behind said conversation.

@VoidofLight I could see who it is if you want, maybe they did it by mistake, I know one user that has done that before, what thread was it?

@Snatcher I know the user who blocked me, but I'm unsure if I want to say their name, since I don't want to spark any drama or anything. I just wish that this function didn't block people from viewing messages, given that I won't get the context if they bring something important up in a conversation which ends up switching the entire topic at hand. Last thing I want to do is derail a thread because I can't understand what's going on at the moment.

@VoidofLight Maybe someone could tell you whats going on at the very least, so you can at least know what people are talking about.

@VoidofLight I agree it's a poorly thought of system but I guess according to the staff it's here to stay.

@Tasuki It's a shame that it's here to stay, but I guess there's nothing I can do about it.

@Snatcher It was a user in the Legends thread who ended up talking about stuff in the Nintendo Direct thread. It wasn't PIzzamorg though, it was someone else from that thread that I had only a few interactions with about the game, and that I never really thought I said anything bad to them.
