@buggysdad If you feel it's edging toward unacceptable, I'd ask for the customer support manager. Maybe it's a coronavirus capacity/supply issue? If they can't fix it, ask what you have to do to get a switch works or a refund. (granted, I don't know how old the console is)

Anything new on this?

@Shaggonzio There were two people in this thread with the issue. Near the bottom of page one, the RolyPaulie said nintendo replaced the tablet. Seems like buggysdad is still waiting (for an unknown reason). I haven't seen anyone else make a thread on this issue since I joined the forum in 2017.

If you exhaust troubleshooting directions on nintendo support trying to resolve your wifi issue, it may mean hardware failure, which requires replacement or repair. I'd say call Nintendo support in you region, but I dont know if Nintendo support Chile has a phone line - it varies from country to country.

@WoomyNNYes Thx por your answer. I already called but they said that because of the pandemic they are close. So I think I'll have to look for a technician.

@Tez2277 This is the only thread I've seen where someone sent their console to Nintendo to fix wifi & let us know how it went. The user was in Australia and it took about two weeks to get their console back. That's about what turnaround time has been for the US repairs (pre-pandemic). It's possible you could get the same turnaround time, but it can't hurt to ask Nintendo to estimate turnaround time, so there are no surprises.

Here's the post. Post #18 of this thread

Hey guys, just got my switch back from Nintendo Australia.

Here's the Service Information.
Fault Detected: Defective Circuit Board
Work Performed: Replaced Unit / Parts
Date Received: 26/04/21
Date Completed: 6/05/21

So looks like they just replaced the middle part of the switch (not the joycons) thankfully they still had a copy of the MH Rise limited edition, took around 2 weeks for Australia and didn't have to pay anything besides shipping it to them.

Hopefully you get your switch soon buggys!

(just a heads up, I'm currently away, so I may, or may not, be able to reply today if you have another question)

@WoomyNNYes thank you so much, I'm in Australia too , but due to lock down it could take up to 4 to 5 weeks now, all I want to find out now is it hardware problem or it's something to do with software I updated?
I'm sure I can claim under warranty.

@Tez2277 The few times wifi failure has come up here, I believe the fix always required repair.

Since I joined here in 2017, as far as I've seen, if nintendo support (north america site) doesn't have a solution/directions for your issue to solve on your own, it likely means there's a hardware failure, which will require repair.

(I don't know if nintendo sites in different regions share a support page database. I assume they would, but I don't know if they do. So, that's why I say "north america site" above.)

here's the north american site, in case you wanted to search it.
