Hello everyone, recently my son lost his cartridge copy of Lego City Undercover. I am planning to buy him a digital copy on his Nintendo Switch, and I was wondering if via Nintendo Online I am able to transfer the game save data from the cloud to the digital copy, so he doesn't lose his progress in his favourite game. For anyone wondering, it appears as backed-up. Cheers!
Due to how the switch manages things, your son should still have his save data on the switch.
The switch saves save data on the switch itself, not the game card. So he will pick up from where he left off.
Your first anything is important; a memory you don't want to forget. That's what makes nostalgia such a fascinating concept. That's why many people enjoy games that have aged well.
@Luigi05 Thank you for your reply! I'll let him know I'm sure he'll still have everything, as he's been on the fence about it while it was downloading.
Like @Luigi05 said, it should back up. I think if you have a Nintendo Account it is able to transfer the data, even to a new switch. (I'm not totally sure.. but I do hope you get your game save data back )
