I just bought minecraft for wii u and I found out my bowser and luigi wiimote aren't compatible, now I would buy controllers but I don't see the point in spending 60$ On a controller (That's compatible for a few games on the wii u) when I could just spend 180$ on three more Xbox controllers. (They're compatible with every game on the xbox.)
Don't quote me on this, but aren't consumer rights nowadays such that you get a cooling off period on any distance purchases (including digital downloads), so if you were to go to Nintendo within, say, 7 days of purchase and tell them you've not played the game and have changed your mind, I would hope you would be able to get your refund. But I'm not aware anyone has ever actually had any success with that route.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@Tsurii Certainly not that way with the likes of Steam, but I do recall checking the eshop terms once and reading it as you've said it is. Reminds me of one of the reason why I hardly buy any eshop games full price - got burned a bit on a couple of Indies.
Must just be a case that Steam is voluntarily more consumer-friendly than Nintendo. Who knew?

Steam only started offering refunds last year, even then it's a bit of a flawed system.

@gcunit Nintendo explicitly say you can't get your money back when you buy stuff on the eShop.
Isn't it like that on every digital platform (for games), tho? I have no idea how it is in other countries but in Germany you usually don't even get a refund once you opened a physical copy of a game (or movie etc)
In Australia you are legally entitled to a refund if there is a problem with the item. Bugs, goods don't function as advertised etc. entitle you to a refund. You can't get a refund if you just change your mind about it (rightly so). I'm guessing Australia played a part in Steam offering refunds on games.
I onow this is quite late to respond but in eu union countries you have the full right to return your game (even if its digital) withib 14 days with no question ask.
