Topic: can't find octo-themed in-game gear for Splatoon after octo-expansion pre-purchase

Hi,

I have just pre-purchased the Octo-expansion pack for Splatoon 2 online but I can't seem to figure out how to access the onto-themed in-game gear that I should be able to use straight away?

I am running Splatoon 2 from an SD card.

Is there something I need to do to access the in-game gear or should it just appear. When I go to the shop the onto-expansion pack is clearly flagged as "purchased".

@Kiyer After the news, there's a cardboard box in front of your character. Go up to it and press A to open.

Just tried that but can’t see a cardboard box in front of me?
My Splatoon2 is on a gamecard rather than a downloaded version is that causing a problem?
