Don't know what the hell is happening, pressing and holding the power button for however long does absolutely nothing, all I can do is put the console in sleep mode and I don't want to leave it like that. Is it a fault with the console or is their something that I'm just not doing.

Press and hold the power button and home button for 10 seconds.

Hard reboot

We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

If it's a big deal for you and your Sw2 is not playing ball in accordance with the instructions on the above link, I guess you wanna get in touch with the N.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Oh dang, this brings me back to the Switch 1 launch when my power button was defective out of the box. I went through Nintendo customer service thinking they’d save the brand new screen protector I’d put on it instead of a store return. Little did I know that their repairs policy is to just send out refurbs upon receiving your console instead of fixing your individual console. Kind of glad I’m sitting the launch of Switch 2 out because that was a rough start..

Good luck with this new Switch 2, I hope it’s not a defective power button

Looks like I'd have to pay for any repairs too as I haven't got the original receipt I got from Argos.. things just go from bad to worse!

Solved! the case was preventing me pushing the power button (so much for that waste of money piece of s*** then!) now it's just down to try solving why it behaves so erratically with my TV.
Anyone know of a good case that doesn’t affect the power button.
