jill valentin and chris redfield and HUNK. why jill is one of the greatish female characters ever she is strong willed and willing to do what needs to get done. chris is just a bad-ass. and HUNK is mysterious also very strong-willed and always maneges too come back unharmed

I don't think I have to explain why GLaDOS is easily one of the best video game villains of all time, the passive-aggressive, omnipresent relationship she has with the player is just phenomenal.
Sam & Max are probably the funniest, zaniest duo in gaming, Luigi is an ever-lovable coward, Nelson Tethers is an amazing nerdy everyman, Captain Viridian is the happiest person ever, Quote discovers his identity throughout his game (his name isn't even revealed in the normal or bad endings), and CommanderVideo embodies the human existence.
These characters are pretty much synonymous with their games for me; they wouldn't be the same without 'em.

Brom is great because he is extremely underrated as a character. The reason? Nobody ever takes the time to use him. When trained, Brom gets more speed, power, and defense than any of the other armored knights in Fire Emblem games (this applies to PoR only), he's also lovable because of looks and personality. Over all, he's just an awesome guy.
Susano (Okami): It'd take too long to explain why I like Susano (believe me, I typed it out and it turned out to be a massive wall text). So I'll just leave it at this. I think there's more to Susano that meets the eye. If you dig far enough, I feel like you'll be able to find some great depth with this character
Neku Sakuraba (TWEWY): Too many protagonists nowadays don't even change in the end of their journey. Not only does Neku learn something by the end of TWEWY, he also is a 3 dimensional character with fears, hopes, ambitions, heroes, the whole she-bang.
Cecil (Final Fantasy IV): I like Cecil for a number of reasons. He is stuck in a classic conflict between choosing to maintain his honor or to do what he believes is right. He has a number of good traits, but also some big flaws which makes him compelling

Yeah, I totally agree, he's so dang strong once you give him a master crown! I put him at the front of my armor every time after that because he could take sooo much damage

I never REALLY trained Brom, but I can attest that Gatrie in RD can become AMAZING! Literally 100% accuracy and like 33% chance to be hit. Plus he's a general so his ATK and DEF are through the roof. And Haar. He good to.

(1) Jenna - Golden Sun Because she is my one true fake person love and my waifu and has been since before forever. She can shoot fire dragons out of her weapons and is somebody who can do anything and do it well enough to get a space on any team. Not to mention she's hotheaded and likes to berate people. And she's beautiful. And I love her.
(2) Kainé - Nier Because she has a filthy mouth, a ridiculous outfit, two serrated-edged swords, an evil demon attached to her body, and she beats you over the head with all of these things. Yet she still comes out as incredibly sympathetic and somehow retains her femininity even after telling you she's going to tear your limbs off and s*** on your corpse.
(3) Naoto Shirogane - Persona 4 Just a cool character. Anything I want to say is too spoilerific and this is a game I don't want to spoil.
(4) Samus Aran - Metroid She makes a big, bulky orange robot suit look sexy, and she's always been pretty cool. Despite any personal problems she has, she goes out and gets the job done against all odds.
(5) Lightning - Final Fantasy XIII She doesn't take crap from anyone. Nobody talks back to her, not even men twice her size. She does what she wants in the way she wants it done. She kills things with a sword that turns into a gun. You know every time she insults you, it's just her not knowing how to show she cares. I just think she's amazing.

I can't remember the name of the item now, but my favourite strategy was to give Brom the item that makes all enemies attack him. Of course, level him properly and he's invunerable, so he would essentially act like a human cannonball. Completely unstoppable.
There were levels (this is the GC one I'm talking about, though the Wii game is much the same), where Brom could hold down an entire flank all by myself. Such raw power, such a nice guy.

Crap, I forgot Nier. I could put all three major characters on my favourites list. That was a really, really special, hugely underrated game.

Other Fav characters: 1. Solid Snake- especially MGS4 Snake 2. Samus Aran- She is a interesting character, I was the few in the world who enjoyed Other M's portrayal 3. Frog from Chrono Trigger- he's pretty awesome with his sword 4. Ryo Hazuki- Shenmue is so under rated its ridiculous! 5. Tingle- He's so freaking weird, I wonder about that character..
