Red Steel

From the opening chase scene to the final hours, Red Steel was a mess. The storyline, character development, and voice acting was beyond cheezy and forgettable. The combat was also very tedious or overly simple (specifically the beginning). So much that during the last few missions you're expected to fight some expert, legend swords-woman. It never prepares you for such a challenge. Poor game design.

Mario Kart 7

With a lack of original content and an archaic online system, this one's a complete wipeout.

Bulletstorm

Uninspiring, tedious, immature, mindless, mediocre, fugarb.

Before Bulletstorm, I never knew how much fun it was to kick the same enemy for eight hours while my character talked about penises.

Runner ups: Killzone 2, Uncharted 3, Kirby's Adventure, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Metroid Prime Hunters, F-Zero GX, and so many more.

Yeah, I got bored of Mario Kart 7 after a few months. It just doesn't have that lasting appeal that MKWii and MKDS had.

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

Jak II & Jak 3 - Not that they weren't fun at times, but sometimes I feel as if I'm one of, like, ten people that greatly prefers the lighter tone and 3D platforming of the original game to the more serious and sandbox-y sequels.

Grandia III - The only two interesting party members permanently leave roughly 5 hours into the game, the primary antagonist's goal is to "destroy all love" (not played for laughs... well, not intentionally, anyway) and there's almost nothing in the way sidequests. And yet, I'm totally going to play it to the end again someday, because I still love the Grandia battle system so much.

I forgot about Epic Mickey. So much wasted potential and poorly-excecuted ideas, it's not even funny.

It is a platformer from people who clearly have no idea why people like platformers.

Golden Axe I and II
Alien Storm
Streets of Rage 1-3

All of these games suffer from tank-like movement, poor hit detection, and unresponsive controls. It all boils down to a tedious experience.

Also, your control during combat is almost non-existent. I cannot tell you how many times I was deliberately cheaped out of a life in all of these games. It's frustrating, it's unnecessary, and these precious games have aged terribly. (Looking at you Alien Storm and Golden Axe Uno.)

Kyloctopus

Code of Princess Combat is repetitive, and the controls could be tweaked.

Oh, I prefer the original over 2 and 3 as well. It doesn't help that the Original was more focused on tight, fun platforming, whereas the later ones are more driving and combat focused, which were two of the worst aspects of the original thanks solely to a camera they never thought to improve. That said, they're still two really good games, just not great like the original, so I can't say I was disappointed by them that much.
