I thought it would be like the Dreamcast games, they were awesome. I remember seeing this and was so excited, I got this for my birthday, and then I played the game and.............
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!
Super Mario Sunshine. Everytime I start a playthrough I'm like "I'm gonna play Super Mario Sunshine and I'm gonna love it just like everyone else does!" Then I slowly realize it's not my game. Let it never be said I WANT to hate Super Mario Sunshine to be different.
Formerly MickeyTheGreat and MickMick. Now I'm Mickey again!
Super Mario 3D Land, as I stated in this thread https://www.nintendolife.com/forums/wii-u/3d_mario_rumors_and_...
But also New Super Mario Bros. 2, because world 8 was disappointing and I beat everything shockingly fast. These aren't that bad though. I'm trying to think if there were any particularly "worst" disappointments with my video games, but I can't remember any off the top of my head.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
Biggest gaming disappointment I've yet to experience.
Prime 3 was the pinnacle of the series to me, it was a cinematic Metroid done right. You felt like you were Samus experiencing the events within the game; all without a single line of dialogue (from her). But the supporting VA cast was superb; none of them were overly cheesy or badly performed. Also they didn't feel out of place or forced, when at the time it was the first Metroid to include full voice-overs.
Then MOM comes along and... well you know the rest.
2. Every Level 5 game that's not Ni no Kuni. They're a blackhole where good ideas go to die in crappy games...
How? Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, and Dragon Quest IX were some of my favorite games on the DS. I understand how you can't like it but crappy?
I forgot about Super Mario Galaxy 2, which was and still is a big disappointment because I expected a sequel not just new power-ups and a heap of new levels. The presentation and, to a lesser extent, polish went way down between the two as well.
City Folk too, which basically was Wild World again without understanding why Wild World is on, and benefitted from, the DS.
I was the most disappointed by Kirby's Epic Yarn. It's not a bad game, its just doesn't feel like Kirby. In fact, when I got it, I played the first world with my brother, then didn't play it again until recently. (Like I said before, it still doesn't feel like Kirby to me, but its a good game)

I guess I have to add Castlevania: Mirror of Fate. I'm just sad it's gone in the God of War gameplay direction. GoW 2 is an all time favorite, but I just miss the Symphony of the Night style for Castlevania. I'm trying to let it grow on me, but it's just not.
Its hard to find a game that doesn't disappoints me! >:[
Skyward Sword: When are they going stop making every Zelda game the same.
OoT has already been done, I want something new, think outside the box for once!
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
I understand how people could not like the New Super Mario Bros. series, but why do some people say NSMB Wii, or NSMB2? What were you expecting in that game, as opposed to NSMBDS?

This is a good point. I don't think you can say you were that surprised at the content. I was only disappointed with the Wii game when I decided to replay it but this time in single player.
Toejam and Earl 3:Mission to Earth - I was super excited for the return of TJ&E. It wasn't entirely awful but it was no where near what I was hoping for.

As far as I'm concerned, Dragon Quest IX is a Square-Enix title that Level 5 happened to work on, made obvious that it's the exact opposite of what they usually do: It's a good game with no new ideas whatsoever, instead of a crappy game with lots of creative ideas that fall short of their potential. Ghibli's help also pushed through with Ni no Kuni as well. But every other game they ever made just sucks as far as I'm concerned, and yes, that includes the Layton games.
Honestly it's hard for a game to disappoint me, I've only felt 'let down' with a very few number of games, evidenced by the fact I love Other M.
Let's see...
Epic Mickey- backtracking is discouraged? Allignment decisions? In what's basically a platformer collect-a-thon? NO.
Rayman Origins- inferior in every way to Legends, it feels like it's just... Trying too hard on all fronts, while the level design isn't perfected yet. That's a problem for me.
WarioWard DIY- simply because it tricked me into thinking I could actually produce anything of quality.
Wii Party- Eww.
NSMB2- The design focus on coins just doesn't resonate with me.
Mario Tennis Open- I don't know why I own this. Does anyone else want it?
Pokemon Dash- HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Pokemon Terozi- Just not much of a high-score puzzle game fan.
I wouldn't put Sticker Star on this list, as I actually never considered it's flaws until I was done, whenever I played it I was just having fun.
Also Metroid Other M's story was fine for me, the only part I don't like are Samus' emotional problems. I had a lot of fun with that game.
Games taking up too much memory.Being over-priced.Being so short I beat the game in a day.
Currently playing:A little bit of everything :D
