There's this new Batman game coming the 3DS and the PS Vita called Batman: Arkham Origins Lockdown. Creators (Who seem to be major members of Retro Studios) of the Metroid Prime Trilogy left Retro and went to this company (What's it called?) and assisted to create this Batman game. I saw it in the Game Informer, and I was sorta disappointed. I have questions like: Are those Retro members done with Retro permanently or will there be a new Metroid Prime game?) I am starting to lose hope of a possible first-person Metroid game for the Wii U. The three Metroid Prime games are three of my favorite games ever, and hopefully their success didn't end on Metroid Prime Trilogy. It has been almost 3 years since the Other M release and still no new Metroid game. If you have any info or answers, I would be glad to be informed. You don't have to if you don't want to.
I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a Metroid game for Wii U. Although nothing has been confirmed, Miyamoto would personally like to see it appear on the console (http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/07/06/miyamoto-discusses-metroid-on-wii-u).
I also think we'll see a Metroid game on the 3DS in the next year or two, given that just about every other major franchise has appeared on the system in the past two years (and there are no confirmed releases for 2014 yet).
Retro Studios isn't the only part of Nintendo experienced in making first person Metroid experiences. I'd rather take Nintendo Software Technology over them personally, the team that developed Metroid Prime Hunters, and with their experience with online they can take more advantage of the 3DS or Wii U's features.

Really? I mean, yeah, the online for Hunters was phenomenal for DS standards, but I found the single player mode to be very lacking. Sometimes I felt like it didn't even feel like a Metroid game. Personally, I'd take Retro for Prime games any day.
There is that other company that created Hunters, but I'm hoping for a Metroid game with the same or similar gameplay that Prime has that is on the Wii U. I agree with the latest post, I would appreciate a new Metroid not only with HD visuals and Wii U gamepad gameplay, but also a great story. As for the oldest post, I've been that part of IGN that link leads to; I am glad that a creator of two amazing game series is also hoping for a new Wii U Metroid game.
Lets move the storyline along and see what happens after Fusion.
Yes.
I've played all three Primes and I'd like to see a new 2D Metroid too, preferably for 3DS. Especially after finlly getting to play Super Metroid I'm really hoping they can do something like fusion. I really liked that one as well. As for Wii U, something like the Prime games would be sweet, as long as it's not more of the same.
EDIT: And please Nintendo, don't make me scan by holding up my gamepad, I hate that.

A lot of fans found the single player to be lacking. Personally, I continue to see Metroid Prime Hunters' single player as the best of the bunch with each run. Another Metroid game with that fresh of an experience has the potential to easily be one of my favorites.
