Topic: Why do These (possibly new) Paper Mario 64 Renders Exist?

When the Nintendo Switch Online - Expansion Pack released, they decided to have Nintendo 64 icons for the Switch as a promotion (an exclusive if you had the expansion). In one of the waves, Paper Mario (64) got some icons. Some of the renders, however, didn't seem to have previously existed. Almost every other icon (from what I could tell) was an already existing render, but I found it odd that some of these weren't.

I am curious as to why new renders were made. Even for the icons the new Nintendo games get, it's usually already existing renders (or a gameplay shot). I thought it was possible that these would be the same ones that are used in the photo in the TTYD Remake but they don't look the same. Untitled

Does anyone have any ideas to what these renders could be?

I can already tell you that Goombario and Bombette exist in this form in the original PAL manual but in black & white so I would say these are original renders from back in the day.

And if these are then there's a good chance that the rest are as well, probably all from the Japanese manual. I'm not getting much luck loading it in my web browser from where I found it online though, it's super slow

EDIT: Found them in colour on this page (not all of them though)

Feel free to look for more, but the slow speed makes me feel like I'm back on dialup, like back in the day XD

@RudyC3 I looked at those sources, however those seem to be older versions of the renders in my post. You can especially tell with Bombette’s fuse, and the lighting on the outlines of the characters. The ones I posted also seem to have more lighting effects in general, they also looks a bit more layered to me.
