There's a loaded 9mm within 18 inches of my bed. When I do sleep, I sleep very well.
9mm? Meh, that's nothing. I've got a Smith & Wesson Model 500 right over my bed. True, it was a contest prize that, like all of my guns, I never keep loaded (It's got a custom finish and is more for display than anything), but I'm afraid I win.

There is a country club around where I live that charges more for a membership than I make in a year, but have target shooting and skeet shooting contests open to the public on a semi-annual basis.

I havnt slept in the past 2 days before that I was awake for 3 running on 2 1/2 hours of sleep yeah...insomnia is a..well you know maybe it is overkill but when it comes to guns I prefer any short shotgun with a pistol grip. Its my friends not mine but I really like it. Its fun, most people go plinking bottles with guns.

Well, when you turn 13 in America you are issued a low caliber pistol. When you hit 18 you get your assault rifle and a high powered rifle. It's the law, after all.
I should note that I just use my guns for target shooting, and keep them locked up at all times with the ammo in a seperate, locked container.

Surely it's not the law that you have to own one is it? Not judging just curious. It's just so different to over here in the UK where we try to get rid of all guns but still have a high amount of shootings although knife crime seems to be overtaking it. I dread to think what this country would be like if we could all own guns legally ,there's some right nutters live over here!!. You sound like a sensible owner though but I bet not everyones like you.

No, there is no law requiring you to own one. I was just having a little fun with you. Regarding increases in knife crimes over there, I did read a piece not too long ago about that. I guess some people figure it's the next best thing. Just a danger of the modern age, it seems.
