@Tasuki Replying to your own comment from September as if Caleb hasn't done great things between then and now has to be bait

@Tasuki Firstly, they wouldn't have even needed to score there if the defense showed up at any point. Secondly, the play didn't work because they were lined up incorrectly, (confirmed by Ben Johnson after the game) which left two unblocked guys. Caleb couldn't have just "run forward" to score unless you expected him to literally teleport through three guys in his way. And even if the play was entirely on Caleb (which is blatantly wasn't) blaming a loss on one single play that went wrong and completely ignoring the dozens of others that came before it is such stupid behavior it makes me genuinely think you are a troll account.

Plus, the Bears would still have needed the Niners to beat the Seahawks next week to get the 1 seed, which is never going to happen. They'll probably put up 60 on us with our complete lack of defense.

What an odd post season Baltimore parting ways with Harbaugh, Steelers moving on without Tomlin. Not to mention all the other coach firings. Definitely going to be interesting next year.

I just hope Shanahan will finally get the recognition he deserves. It's a travesty that he's never won Coach of the Year. Unfortunately, too many teams exceeded expectations this year (Patriots, Bears, Jaguars) so he probably still won't win it.

You're also hilarious @Tasuki how you will come on here to complain about the Bears when they do bad but never show up when they do good. That was one heck of a comeback. Don't know how Williams can keep looking horrible for three quarters and then like the best QB ever in the fourth, but it's working. Don't know how the Niners are still alive either, but it's been a fun ride.

@Xyphon22 Well, I am not going to praise them on something that they should be doing. They have all the pieces there to be a great team so naturally that's what they should be doing. Not stupid stuff like hanging onto the ball forever and end up getting sacked. Or throwing it into the dirt because no one is lineing up right. Everyone has this high praise for Williams for what he did in college and awards to go with it, so where's has that guy been the last year? For someone who is so great he does alot of stuff that doesnt make sense.

Dont get me wrong I am happy with how well they did this season, my prediction was 7 wins this season so yeah I am pleased that they are where they are and hope they make it all the way, but I wont be surprise if they do something stupid either.

@Tasuki But should they have been doing this? I don't remember, but I don't think they were expected to do that great this year. Definitely they would have been picked behind both the Lions and the Packers in their own division. It seems to me that they have greatly overperformed, which is why I think Johnson has a good shot at winning Coach of the Year.

The Niners clearly have, too. I predicted 10 wins for them, and that was before they lost their entire defense and half their offense to injuries. It's been a fun year all things considered. I think the Seahawks and the Rams are the two best teams in the entire NFL so I don't think either of our teams is going and further, but I've learned not to count either of them out until it's over.

Right. Its been a fun trip but yeah the Rams and Seahawks scare me to be honest. As I said before I wasnt expecting this at the beginning of the year so this is all gravy for me. @Xyphon22

I held off on posting here fresh off the loss, for fear I'd say something that gets my account banned!

As many people know, one of the best thing that happened to us as Chargers fans in recent history was a 60+ point loss to the Raiders, which resulted in a cleaning of house for the staff. This opened a new era of Chargers football under Harbaugh and his staff.

Under Harbaugh, we've had two productive seasons, making it to the playoffs back to back, often despite all odds. Less finding new ways to lose every week like it often felt under Staley, and more gritting out tough victories in adverse situations.

But even in year two, cracks were starting to show, the team was cursed with injuries from the get go this season, which allowed certain criticisms to be softened, but there were still major questions starting to bubble underneath about how well the team really was tackled in the off season, why certain players were being stuck with despite woeful performances every week, why we would often be told things by Harbaugh or others that just obviously wasn't true, despite them claiming transparency was a key goal, why the team often seemed to be so unprepared, and so unable to adjust when games went sideways.

This all culminated in the Chargers once again having their worst game of the season in the playoffs, on an island, the same old questions about Herbert - although funnily, the narrative did shift a bit this year, more "touristy" comments were mostly bafflement at how on Earth this team even made it to the playoffs, and sympathy for Herbert's position less talking about how much he stinks based on this one game they watched, whereas I feel like the diehard fans of the team really for the first time started to have wavers, questions, about Herbert truly for the first time. Is he destined to choke every time he makes the playoffs the whispers amongst the fan forums dared ask.

Well maybe 2027 we get our answer, as this brutal, brutal, loss set us free from Greg Roman, and our OLine coach too. We can only hope this begins a path of rejuvenation and rebirth like we saw when Harbaugh and co came in. Next year we hopefully won't lose the two pillar tackle pieces in the off season. With Roman gone, we hopefully won't stick with players just cause they are our buddies or whatever and be willing to try different people.

The real fear now above all else is we lose Minter, and see massive regression on defence in the process. But who knows, if the offence takes a massive leap, maybe it'll all balance out.

All I know is I went from feeling truly hopeless just a few days ago, to suddenly be excited again as I log on and read the latest news about the Chargers new OC search and what that could mean for my team next season.

Life to the living, death to the dead.

Total heartbreak last night and once again its all because of Caleb Williams. I will admit the tieing touchdown to send it into overtime was great. Then holding the Rams only to get the ball back and throw and interception??? What the *****??? Honestly what was he thinking???

This was our year 40th anniversary of the 85 Bears. The passing of both Steve McMichael and Virigina Halas McCaskey it was perfect but nope Williams strikes again.

Its funny now I am reading everywhere that oh this was a great season for Bears fans they did better then anyone expected again to be honest they did better then I thought. The everyone says Chicago will win a Super Bowl in the next 3 years.they way they're going. Next 3 years?? Whats tbe significance? Whats the point? This should have been our year. We were robbed.

I know I am the minority here and everyone is blinded and cant see the problems with Williams but the only way we will make it is if they dump Williams which I know they wont. Going to be some disappointing years ahead.

@Tasuki I'm not a fair judge as I'm not a Bears fan and haven't seen a lot of their games, but that interception in overtime was at least as much Moore's fault as Williams', probably more. He was just jogging across the field and not even trying, like he didn't think Williams would throw it to him. That said, what little I have seen makes me mostly agree with you. It kind of seems to me like Williams has the same problems that made me never like Kaepernick as the Niners' QB: he can throw the ball 70 yards but he can't throw it 7. One amazing play a game can't make up for the 10 easy ones that he misses that would keep drives alive. But it was only his second year.

And at least they had a better showing than 41-6.

@Xyphon22 The Niners problem was that the injuries had finally caught up to them. If they didnt have half the injuries they had I dont think it would have been a blow out like it was.

Thats exactly what I talk about with Williams. Its great that he makes the clutch plays I mean that play he did there to tie it up amazing, but then he goes and does something stupid. It was like the last play when we played the Niners a few weeks ago, hes just going to throw it in the dirt. Untill he gets over that I will not be a fan of him. But as I said I am the minority here everyone else seems to love him.

Nice performance by Green Day. After that I switched back to the Olympics. No interest at all in this year's Super Bowl. Might check out some of the commercials on YouTube at some point.

Well sad to see DJ Moore go I believe he had more to give but thats the decision that the people in charge made. I love its being reported that one of the decision to let him go was because of the missed pass in the closing of the Rams game. Love how they so quickly blame him when its Williams that threw the pass but then again Williams can do no wrong. Maybe it is the best for him to go since obviously the Bears upper have their heads so far up William's *** from kissing it that any other player isnt going to get a fair deal.

Anyway thank you DJ Moore and good luck in Buffalo.
