I'm thinking about making a video play through, of my Wii games, but I don't know want kind of capture card should I use. Any suggestions?

WinTV is a safe brand. If you are only doing the Wii a USB capture card is all that is needed but if you want to capture HD video from a different console then I would recommend an express card. You will most likely find that in a lot of cases the card is of lesser importance over the software. ffdshow is a popular encoding software that is free and can usually get you video into what ever format you want.
