So Heavendust 2 has proven to be a welcome experience thus far. Feels more like an RE experience than the last, and it's more polished. It also flows just perfectly. I'm always finding new weapons and gadgets to use every 20 or so minutes. 2.5 hrs in so far, and I only put the game down last night since it was nearly 1am.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - After completing all the Shrines, activating all Lightroots, finding all the tears, doing all possible Heart/Stamina/Zonai battery upgrades, getting all pouch upgrades AND finding 500+ Korok seeds, finishing all Side Adventures, doing many (though not all) side quests, AND finding/upgrading many (though not all) outfits since it's grindy as heck....I think I'm finally ready to tackle the last main story quest. I took about a month off total, but for the most part I've been playing this game since it launched. My hope is to finish it this week at some point. It's been a crazy ride so far. I'll likely hit 190 hours.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest (Switch/Steam) - Not my first playthrough of this VN. I like the World of Darkness and classic horror monsters in general, plus the story changes based on player decisions make this perfectly replayable. I just did a (mostly) peaceful run in the Switch version and am going towards a conflict heavy campaign in my current Steam playthrough. I'll likely do a peaceful playthrough in the Steam version as well (mainly for achievements). A run is only 3-4 hours if you know what you're doing, probably less if one skips more text.
Been playing Kirby and the Amazing Mirror on NSO. For some reason I had a hard time getting into this one, but I'm now starting to like it more. I know it was kind of my fault, but I forgot that you could look at the map while you have the game paused, lol. Just beat my second boss and I now have two mirror pieces.

Played F-Zero 99 last night and finally tried out the Queen League. Unfortunately, it didn't go my way... I got ranked out at Red Canyon I. I'm also planning on planning a game or two with a friend from here on Nintendo Life, but I haven't decided what game(s) yet.

Recently got Pokemon Scarlet. Went in with the lowest of expectations, and have been pleasently surprised so far. Graphics are baaaaad, but the gameplay itself is really fun.
So far not as good as Legends Arceus, but significantly better than Sword/Shield.
~ I now have the courage to, show you there is a way
You taught me silently - I know what you will say ~
@Moonwatcher Not as good as Arceus and the 'do it whatever order you want' inevitably means there is some challenge at the start but it gets super easy at the end. However, between the fun mount movement abilities and the fact that the plot is really quite good later on, if you enjoy the game now, you should keep enjoying it until the end of the main game.
If they had improved the art, allowed better clothing options, and maybe added some difficulty scaling, it honestly would have been an incredible game. Still quite fun in my opinion though.
Started Baten Kaitos for the Switch yesterday and I like it so far, but since Super Mario Bros. Wonder releases in a few days, I think I will hunt korok seeds for a while.
games im going to be playing the rest of this month for Halloween time
Resident Evil 0
Dead Space 1 for my Playstation 3
replay and play through little bit of either Resident Evil 3 remake or Resident Evil 2 Remake for my X Box One S. kind of but not really to keep an eye out for any remaining Mr Raccoon figurines in the games
Finding Paradise (Switch) - I needed a short palate cleanser after FINALLY finishing TotK, so I bought this using gold coins since it was on sale. A sequel to the excellent To The Moon and part of Freebird Games's Sigmund Corp. series, Drs. Eva Rosaline and Neil Watts are dispatched to the apartment of Colin Reed to go through Sigmund's memory-altering procedure on his deathbed. Their mission per the client? Enable him to live a life without regrets while changing as little as possible. I'm not very far in yet; I'm still sifting through memories in this story heavy game. So far the puzzles are slightly better than in To The Moon, but they're still fairly basic.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
Booted up the Castlevania Anniversary Collection for the first time tonight and started my journey throughout the series with the one that started it all: Castlevania.
Made it to the end of Stage 3 so far and feel....conflicted. On the one hand, Castlevania has a damn good sense of flow to both it's platforming and combat, with the whip and special items being really fun to use, the level design (for the most part) is pretty well-catered to Simon's movement and the music is absolutely incredible (ESPECIALLY for NES standards).
....however, on the other hand? God this game can be so goddamn infuriating at points. This is mainly an issue in both Stage 2 & 3 but whoever decided to add the Crows and Medusa Heads in should have both sides of their pillow be warm because good lord is it a NIGHTMARE to try and get around them. There have also been an annoyingly common amount of bottomless pits so far which, when it's so easy to get hit by enemies like Crows and Medusa Heads and the knockback is so severe when it happens, makes getting through certain sections an absolute chore.
All this being said though, I'd still say I'm having a good time overall. The positives are very much outweighing the negatives right now and I'm kind of hoping that the bits that caused me such frustration are just a one-off occurrence. Excited to hop back into it tomorrow!

Recently I've been playing a lot of Kirby's Dream Buffet, with some F-Zero 99 and N64 NSO sprinkled in. With Halloween approaching, I plan to resume the Castlevania Collection, as well as getting Castlevania Requiem (Rondo of Blood + Symphony of the Night) on PS4 since it's on sale. Wish that was on Switch though.
@Fizza Sums up Castlevania 1 pretty well! Also, since you liked Castlevania 1 music- if you plan to play through Castlevania 3 down the road, I suggest trying out the Japanese version (Akumajou Densetsu) that's bundled in the collection. The music in Castlevania 3 NA/Europe version is still good, but the Japanese version is incredible. It's the same tracks, but that extra sound channel of the Famicom really steals the scene. Also the Japanese version of Super Castlevania 4 has some things that were censored in the NA/Europe version, if you're curious.

Cyberpunk 2077 went from tragically flawed to one of the GOATs with the v2.0 patch. I was not expecting it all. I still need to finish Phantom Liberty but I'm not feeling the story.
