@Sunsy Gotcha yeah, I think that's a better comparison since in that Knockout Tour mode I mentioned, there would only be four players remaining in the end. Congrats on getting first! Love your profile picture too, looks like Poppy's all ready for Christmastime.

Think I'll keep playing Disney Illusion Island even though I finished the story. There's some extra content thanks to an update the game had.

I was playing some Among Us today because of that free Stardew Valley cosmicube. I don't have quite enough beans to afford it yet though 😅.

Played more Sonic Rumble, playing it so much, decided to get the Christmas event pass to get some more rewards. Also, unlocked Jingle Belle Amy. Also, won a few more games.

Also, played Jagged Alliance for my weekly classic game night, cleared another sector in the game and completed a mission.

@D-Star92 Yeah, like F-Zero 99, there's still a lot of players left. In the case of Sonic Rumble, eight players remain by the time the game is over, and there's a top 3. Thanks!

Other than that recent Tetris 99 Maximus Cup, playing a bit more Super Mario Maker 2 to reach one hundred hours, and small bits of Animal Crossing and Among Us (all in all a grand total of 3-4 hours tops), my Switch has been sitting collecting dust for the past two-ish weeks (with Dragon Quest XI still sitting and waiting to be continued 🤣).

I'm dumping a ton of time into Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online on my PS4 though. I'm probably not going to beat it before Christmas, and going to leave it on hiatus for a while, assuming that I get my Christmas game (also PS4 🤣).

I played a few rounds in Tetris 99 and unlocked the new theme. I got some tickets from completing special objectives, too. Likewise, I also played Mario Kart World online for a decent while and I also unlocked mirror mode, so I wanna play through that as well. Maybe grab 3-star ranks for the cups I didn't get them in. Knowing me, I'd probably do it, lol.

I'm also replaying Super Mario Odyssey, and it's still as great as I remember. I got quite a lot of Power Moons (I tend to be explorative in games like this), and I just finished the Sand Kingdom. It looks great on Switch 2, thanks to the resolution increase, and I think it has faster loading times, as well.

@Sunsy Gotcha yeah, that's cool you unlocked Jingle Belle Amy, I do remember Amy is one of your favorite Sonic characters. Fun fact, I like playing as Tails sometimes in Sonic games, he was my main in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Anytime.

DOOM + DOOM II

The HD Rumble, Asymetrical stick + Gyro yawn controls and 'digital' R2 button for firing your weapon with Pro or Pro 2 controller make this so much more enjoyable to play on NS & NS2, even if the PS5 version has the advantage of having a whopping 120fps. 😗

wrapped up DOOM 93's Episode 1. Now on to Shovel Knight!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Surprise, surprise... I'm still playing a little bit each day. Yesterday, I finally got the white conductor outfit, which was the only variant I was missing. In other words, I have all the colors of the conductor outfit and hat cataloged! Hooray! And because of the update coming out next month, I'll be saving up my bells for the storage upgrades.

Super Mario Odyssey - Once again I'm replaying the game. I just defeated the boss of the Seaside Kingdom, and I'm still getting as much Power Moons as I can.

@D-Star92, Super Mario Odyssey is so dang good. I would replay it right now if I hadn't just played it about two and a half years ago (I was a bit late to the party) and wasn't so busy with other games, but I definitely will replay it someday, either on Switch 1 or 2, though hopefully 2 with the upgraded graphics.

Just starting playing OMORI. I’ve heard great things so I’m excited to give it a proper go this winter break. The hour or so I’ve played so far has been very intriguing

@Nep-Nep-Freak I played through the game again a couple of weeks before Bananza. I can confirm it’s still great, and the improved switch 2 graphics certainly don’t hurt

@Nep-Nep-Freak It is, and I still love it after all these years. I had the game since it came out and I got my last Power Moon back in 2019. Thought it was a good time to revisit it, especially since the Switch 2 update is here.

Shovel Knight for NS1.
Late to the party, this game has been lurking around since the Wii U era. But so far so good! it's been living up to the hype, although i don't think it has the strongest 12-bit-esque pixel art design compared to the likes of what Capcom, Konami & Nintendo are capable of.

And I'm not a huge fan of the Zelda II inspired Hub/Town section.Collecting Song/notes to unlock music tracks from the game just feels like weak filler, and for whatever reason i have zero patience for the NPC Dialogue. I just want to get into the action.

Clearly it's inspired by both DuckTales & Zelda II with SK's downwards thrust mechanic, but the shovel swinging mechanic itself feels entirely original and gives the game it's own unique rythem and flow that i haven't experienced with any other retro title. Weather you're swiping your shovel at enemies, or digging into dirt to pluck out treasure, everything rebounds off the shovel the way you think it would which makes the game feel like it has it's own identitiy in the end, vs being just another retro clone that completely borrows nearly every single game mechanic from older popular renowned retro titles, but with an expected new lick of paint.

Some new PC games today, my friend gifted me Milano's Odd Job Collection and I bought Jagged Alliance 3 since GOG started its winter sale.

Milano's Odd Job Collection - ok, this game is adorable, and it's even out on Switch for anyone interested. It was originally a Japan only PlayStation game, and it got localized. You play as a girl named Milano who's doing all sorts of odd jobs, which are different mini-games. I like this one so far and I think many here may like it too.

Jagged Alliance 3 - I've been wanting this game ever since playing Jagged Alliance from 1995, now I finally have it. I love what the developers did, they made a modern version of the classic game. This really feels like I'm playing Jagged Alliance 1 and 2. Graphics look great, the turn-based action is just as fun as the other two Jagged Alliance games. I'm very happy with this one.

@D-Star92 She is, I just love Jingle Belle Amy's Christmasy outfit. That's cool, I like Tails too. I played as Tails in Sonic Rumble as well.

@Sunsy That's awesome, I just looked up her costume and she looks great for sure. I love Christmastime, haha. 🎄 That's cool you got some games on sale, I remember Jagged Alliance is one of your favorites.

Today, played more Sonic Rumble and I won another game, and completed the Season's Greetings Event Pass.

Yesterday, played more Jagged Alliance 3, and had a long battle trying to take back the fort. I think there's still a few enemies remaining in the sector. I also played Milano's Odd Job Collection, and got a game console for the house so Milano can play games in the evening.

@D-Star92 Me too, I'm listening to Christmas music as I type this. Only one game on sale, Jagged Alliance 3. Milano's Odd Job Collection was a gift, and a very recent game too, it released last week on PC and every current console.

Yeah the series got me into turn-based strategy games. If only I could find the time to play more Mario + Rabbids, since it is a turn-based strategy game. The bit I played I enjoyed. I bought it on sale a few years ago.

Very much late on this but I borrowed Tears of the Kingdom from my local library yesterday! Held off buying it at first because I wanted to beat Breath of the Wild, and by the time I did beat it I was knee-deep into Persona 5, and by the time I beat that I had way too much happening to really consider getting it. Surprise surprise, it's real good.
