Currently playing Metroid Prime Remastered. Got this one as a birthday present. It's Metroid Prime, of course it's amazing... I've also been playing it on my Switch OLED and my goodness, it looks so good on the OLED screen!

@Sunsy Ah gotcha, that is a bit weird that only the cat bell lets you climb those fences. Oh gotcha, good to know... I won't spoil a thing!

I’m currently playing Dragon Warrior on the NES. I got to the end castle as a level 17 but I hear I should be at least a 19 and maybe even a 25!! The game so far has been mostly grinding for money and XP. I wanna finish the game but I have low motivation to grind for anywhere between 2 and 8 levels. Anyway, I guess I can while away at it over time. But while I am, I’ve got three games I’m considering for what to play next. “Sea of Stars,” “Evergate,” or “Skyward Sword HD”

I’m wanting a game to go all in with. Any thoughts to help me pick?

@Logicfire zeldas never a wrong pick. That's my #1 choice. A close second is sea of stars. My 2nd favorite game last year. I don't know much of ever gate unfortunately.

@Logicfire That the problem with alot of those old RPGs, grinding. My suggest put something on in the background while grinding, Netflix, YouTube, a podcast etc. That helps alot with the grind and doesn't make it as boring.

Magician

Warframe and Monster Hunter Rise by day.

Dreamscaper by night.

Dreamscaper is a really nice Hades clone. Kind of feels dirty to qualify it as such since it has it's own vibe and sense of style. But those are the breaks. Curse of the Dead Gods doesn't have it any easier under Hades's shadow either.

Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)

@Tasuki Yea, I’ve tried that trick with other games so maybe it’s time to bring it back here. I don’t wanna DNF Dragon Warrior but it’s a commitment to stay focused.

@NintendoByNature thanks for weighing in. Yea, I’m fairly certain Skyward Sword is my next all-in game. Maybe I’ll buy Evergate now while it’s on sale and add to my extensive backlog. Eventually I’ll get to Super Mario Galaxy 2… 🫣

Played some XCOM: Terror from the Deep today. Some thoughts on the two mid-90's turn based games I've recently played, I like Jagged Alliance more. While they both use RNG elements, it's more random in XCOM than Jagged Alliance. Like I feel like I can get a hit on an enemy in Jagged Alliance, while XCOM, it just feels really random, and it misses a lot of the time. I find myself saving and loading more in XCOM just to fix a missed shot or to try a different strategy.

Both are good games, I'm just liking one more over the other.

Just beat the penultimate case of Apollo Justice (Turnabout Serenade) and WOW did my opinion on it shift dramatically come the end. I thought it was kind of dull in the beginning with not too much happening outside of both the murder itself and that gloriously cheesy DS-era 3D but holy HELL did it pick up in the latter half. Tons of new and interesting characters, a great premise/setting and a surprisingly large-scale mystery in the end. Great stuff all around and I can't wait to eventually start Turnabout Succession (aka the best case in the game from what I've heard) once mid-term break rolls around!

also I know I was simping for Klavier in my last post here but goddamn Lamiroir is so beautiful man

Should be finishing up The Lost Crown by tonight. Even if I'm up until 3am 😆.

With my little guy I'm playing Disney Illusion Island. Actually far more enjoyable than I expected.

On xbox I'm playing Robocop Rogue City and I'm going to start Sunset Overdrive as part of the pure xbox game club.

Once I finish the lost crown, I'm going to start arkham asylum on switch.

Been playing Metroid Prime Remastered, and I'm also replaying Super Mario 3D Land. Both games are really good. 3D Land might just be my favorite handheld Mario game alongside Super Mario Land 2... plus it helps that I have my 3DS in my bedroom so it's a good game to play before going to sleep.

@NintendoByNature Disney Illusion Island is really good, actually! It's a nice, relaxing platformer... glad you're enjoying it. I haven't tried out the co-op yet, but I would like to.

@MarioLover92 yea its a real good one. We're pretty engaged and the power ups are genuinely fun. The writing is decent. The platforming is like rayman. For $27 on sale, it's well worth it.

Also, 3D land is such a good game. Kinda makes me want to fire it up myself. Not enough time in the day though.

@NintendoByNature Oh absolutely, that's good to hear you got it on sale. Lol, looks like my post at least reminded you of the game! It's one of my favorite 3DS games... I know, big surprise there, lol.

Just beat the original final boss of Persona 5. However, I made sure to take care of the needed confidants to unlock the third semester, so my game is far from over.

But man, I gotta say, for as large of a game as it is, I think it "ended" really well. It is kind of a standard JRPG trope of "kill god" as the final boss, but I do think the story earns it this time around. If the game would have ended here, I definitely would have been satisfied. But I'm certainly not complaining about extra content in the third semester. So far the story's been very intriguing.

@StarPoint wow, you are playing much faster than I am! I think I started the game around the same time as you (late December) and I’m at the fifth palace

@SplatRay001 Yeah it has completely hooked me. I’ve hardly played anything else since I started in December besides the Apollo Justice Trilogy.

@StarPoint I completely understand, the structure of the game is super engrossing. “Just one more day” I’ll tell myself, and before I know it a full in game week has passed! What would you say is your favourite confidant? I’ve personally enjoyed the Councilor confidant the most
