Topic: Ubisoft are the best third party publisher

They absolutely ruled all three main conferences: Nintendo had Zombie U, Just Dance 4, Sony had Assassins Creed and Far Cry 3 and M$ had Splinter Cell.

These were some of the best games at E3 and show that Ubisoft are now the best 3rd party publisher.

What do you think?

I think Ubisoft has a few good games but they are far from the best. I think most of their published titles are crap. Zombi U looks...not sure. If it's better than Killing Floor I'll be surprised. Just Dance. Ha. All Assassin's Creed games feel the same to me, I'll admit Farcry 2 had me hooked for like a week. I haven't played a Splinter Cell since the first but anytime a publisher saturates the market with a certain franchise it can't be anything too amazing

Well, Ubisoft is good. I don't know about best, though. Although at the moment I can't really think of anyone who's better.

They just looked like the stars of this E3.

Assassins' Creed
Far Cry
Splinter Cell
Rayman
Zombie U

They played a prominant part in each conference.

Ummm no... just no... Ubisoft is ok, not the best 3'rd party, just because they show more titles doesn't mean they're the best, IMHO Square Enix is the best 3rd party shown at E3 and they only showed 2 games

They're definitely not to me as they're only games that interest me are the Rayman games.

Tomb Raider and what else?

By the way I forgot to mention Watch Dogs. That also looks good.

The horrible DRM that Ubisoft saddles their games with on PC automatically disqualifies them, in my opinion.

I'm not denying that they can make great games, but I'm never going to buy them unless they have the DRM removed.

I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

but most of those games are just console ports so who cares?

And yeah, even if they're not your favorite, they are the best right now. They're not even MY favorite, but they have proven their awesome once and for all. They have the most hyped new game from E3, they have perhaps the most anticipated title this year with Assassin's Creed 3 (which could easily be GOTY), they have returned Far Cry to greatness (and it's like the only FPS other than Bioshock Infinite that interests me right now), they are the biggest supporters of Wii U (and counting confirmed games, that includes Nintendo itself), and they have one of the most hyped Vita games now (even if it's just a side game like every other Vita game), which I think they did just to dominate everything. Also, Rayman Legends is probably the most hyped I got out of the Wii U and I've heard a couple people say it's the best playable Wii-U game at the show.

Followed by SE and Xseed. SE's publishing is largely great and certain others could learn from it and Xseed is your god and has been a major reason I've still played games on Nintendo systems a lot.

Why should that make someone not care?

They had the best showing at E3, but they're not one of my favorites (ACIII was the only game they showed that interested me personally).

My favorite 3rd party devs are Namco Bandai (though they showed nothing of interest to me this E3 that I can think of), Tecmo Koei (E3 I'm interested in: Dead or Alive 5), and Square Enix (E3 I'm interested in: Kingdom Hearts 3D).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
