A Titanic board game actually sounds really cool, especially if it's modeled off of one of my favorite classic games - Clue (or Cluedo). Definitely something I'd try if I got the opportunity.

@Tasuki Happy Sun Cycle-versary!

@Tyranexx Funny enough my son said that when he was looking for this boardgame he did see a Clue Titanic version. I might look into later on but to be honest I have so many version of Clue, I really don't need another one lol. This Titanic game is it's own unique game. I will probably report back here once I open it up and read the rules and stuff.

@Tasuki Please do report back! I'm definitely interested in the gameplay loop.

So it looks like one of my favorite video game series is being made into a table top RPG. Mordiphius, makers of the Fallout TTRPG are making a Heroes of Might and Magic TTRPG. I am interested in it but honestly don't much time to play table top RPGs. Still the lore might be interesting enough for me to pick it up.

So, I finally got a chance to.play a game of Daggerheart Last night and it was such a blast!! My local gaming cafe had an Intro to Daggerheart Night and I decided to join. It was just the one shot adventure that is free on the Daggerheart website but it was enough to learn the basics.

I played one of the pre-made characters since we really didnt have time to make characters. It was a giant guardian, basically Daggerheart's version of a warrior. The group also comprised of an elf sorcerer, a Ribbit (a frog human hybrid race) rogue which my son played, a Kitara (cat human hybrid race) ranger and a Human Guardian using a DPS spec. Our task was just a simple one to be which being a one shot intro adventure I expected as much. We had to escort a wagon carrying a chest to a local mage so basically your basic escort job.

The biggest difference from D&D that I found is their is no initiative for combat. Also the Fear and Hope mechanic was very interesting it definitely added to the game alot and made combat alot of fun.

Overall I enjoyed it alot and I found out that next month November they will be doing a Daggerheart campaign so I signed up for that. Really looking forward to it.

Last week I started our Daggerheart campaign. It was just session zero so not much in game play just setting the stage and world building mainly. The campaign will be set in the Forgotten Realms but using Daggerheart's Age of Umbra campaign frame. Basically the God's of good have left the world and all that's left is the evil gods creating a constant darkness. It affects magic alot and there is only small areas of light.

I will be playing an Elf Nightwalker Rogue that uses shadow magic (I honestly made the character before I knew the campaign). In our group we have a Clank (basically a automaton) Beastmaster Ranger, a Drokana (Dragon Kin) Warrior, a Elf War Wizard, a Firbolog Druid, a Kitari (Feline, human hybrid) Wordsmith Bard and a Farier Winged Sentinel (basically a Paladin). Tomorrow we begin our first session of the game.

This past Saturday my local game cafe had a Polar Express event which I partook in. We played the board game Ticket to Ride, which I never played before but after learning kt I quite enjoyed. After a few rounds of that they did a Polar Express trivia contest which I got fifth kn, to be honest I only seen the movie once and that was a few years ago. I honestly did better then I thought. I enjoyed it mainly playing a Ticket to Ride which I did pick up a copy of my own because I am a sucker for a board game.

And so our 3 month Daggerheart campaign came to and end (for now) the other night. For good reasons our GM works in the tax business and of course this is is busiest time of the year and he wont be able to GM anything till May both due to time and mental condition which is understandable.

Overall it was a great campaign and the Daggerheart system is a pretty good system. For ease I actually prefer it over D&D. They are some things I would change but over all its a fun system and look forward to playing it again.

As for our campaign it was interesting one. It took place in Forgotten Realms and the world has been devoid of light magic since the death of Mystra. Our overall goal is of course finding out a way to bring it bqck but thats the main goal. These past few months we have been helping the town of Phan with various problems, the main one being people vanishing and no one even remembers their existence. After some investigate and making allies with the Goblin section of town we had a huge battle with some gnolls who where trying to take over Goblintown as it was known. The battle took place when the gnoll force tried to seize a tower that was the main building for the Goblins. We successfully stopped the gnolls, but that was when the true fiend appeared and the one that was the cause of the disappearances. We manged to drive it away but it escaped and so now our group of adventures is resting and helping mend relationships with the Goblins and Humans of the towns till the next time we play.

It's been a good while since I played board games, outside of Mario Party and Clubhouse Games. I'd like to get back into them actually... I'll be getting Ticket to Ride in the mail, and I'm excited to try it out!

@D-Star92, my family has a early 2000s version of Ticket to Ride, and a lot of us (not all of us, since not all of us enjoy that game, though it is one of my personal favorite board games out there) play it usually once or twice a year, especially when relatives who also like that game come to visit.

My top 5 favorite games:
1: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1
2: Pokémon Violet
3: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
4: The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening (2019)

@Nep-Nep-Freak Nice, that's awesome. I'm getting the new 2025 variant that they have. I'm sure I'll have a great time with it, especially since it's all about trains!

@Tasuki Glad to hear it's a great one. I might give those other versions a shot sometime, once I get enough mileage into the regular version. I'll be sure to give my thoughts once I play it.

@D-Star92 The other ones are great as I said. The city ones are a bit shorter and simpler but still alot of fun. Basically they are good for beginners or you want a quicker game of Ticket to Ride.
