Okay, I have made a decision regarding my persona. You know how I usually draw him with three tails (because I didn't want to draw and color 9 of them despite him being related to the kitsune spirit)? Well, I've been thinking, maybe I should draw him with ONE tail. But still be related to the kitsune because of my love of Japanese culture.
@HenryKibble why not 4? It is a recurring theme in Japanese mythology that 9 tailed foxes (only the good ones though) have further rank ups, their tails merge together until they have only 4 but ULTRA FLUFFY ones
Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes
I’m not Japanese myself (just Irish/Czech…bleh) but I do like the idea of the Kitsune being more benevolent (like a playful trickster who doesn’t mean any real harm).
I do have an aunt and cousin who are Japanese though.
Yeah. It released early in several countries. The official US release is November 17th, which is the day my friend and I have tickets for, with a special showing on November 4th as an early access (this is intentional and is advertised), which is perfect for an early showing as it's the series' anniversary. The first Trolls movie came out November 4th, 2016. Yeah, I can imagine the stuff being spoiled about it too, the worst would be YouTubers putting spoilers in the thumbnail. D: You're welcome. It's a fun little show that complements the movie. Being Disney Junior, it's made for younger kids, but the attention to detail and the care they put into it is great.
Pretty much. I don't get hyper with caffeine, it just keeps me up at night. If I have anything with caffeine in it, it has to be in the morning. Like chocolate or regular tea. Which you bring up, I do like tea. Especially lemon flavored tea. Yup, it is a thing, I can get it at the local coffee shop, I should just say Starbucks, which isn't as local. I first had it with peppermint white hot chocolate, and I keep regular white hot chocolate as an alternative to regular hot chocolate in event it's after lunch.
Thanks, your Mickey plushie is soooo classic!
Nice, my friend gave me a Trolls sticker book for my birthday once.
Maybe, just seems weird to want to buy a disc by itself, unless it's like a replacement for an existing Game Boy Player. Cool, Kirby Nightmare In Dreamland wasn't the first one I played, I think mine was Kirby Super Star, which is weird to say since my brother had Kirby Dream Land. My second one was Kirby Pinball Land, which I bought after playing Super Star, just because I wanted a portable Kirby game. I haven't completed Ultra, but I did get very far in the original game, including unlocking the final game which was like a boss rush mode.
That probably explains it. I think the movie came at a weird time when my brother and I wasn't watching much Disney, and didn't care to see it, Hercules, and Hunchback of Notre Dame, so I never saw those. I got back into Disney in the early 2000's after seeing Finding Nemo. I hope you do, I think you'll like the little nod in the Alice Wonderland Bakery episode Potato Patahto. They do a really nice job incorporating the original Alice into it. Indeed, and that reminds me, you need to watch "Once Upon A Studio," it was a really good tribute to the history of Disney's animations. Like just about every Disney movie character is in it. You would love it. It's on Disney+ right now.
Nice, glad you got to get tickets for the November 17th showing. Didn't know that Trolls originally came out in 2016... I think I recall you said that you've been a fan since that year? Ah yeah, it really sucks that some people on YouTube would put spoilers on thumbnails. Doesn't help that it recommends them to us, either.
That's cool, tea is definitely good. I did hear that biscuit tea is supposed to be good, as well, I've been meaning to try it. I have a Starbucks that's about 10 minutes away from home. I'll have to remember to try out that white hot chocolate, it does sound really good!
Thank you, he's definitely classic! And cute, as well. Cool to hear about your Trolls sticker book.
Nice, looks like you've been playing the Kirby series longer than I have. I actually did hear about Kirby before I got Kirby 64, been reading through the Super Game Boy player's guide which featured Kirby's Dream Land and Kirby's Pinball Land. Wasn't too interested in those at the time, as a kid I was much more into Mario, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong. So I pretty much stuck with those, and a whole lotta racing games. I do have Kirby's Dream Land on the 3DS VC and NSO.
Gotcha, that's cool. I've seen bits and pieces of Finding Nemo, but that's kinda it. I didn't see much new movies back in the 2000s, been much more of a gamer back then, but I did start getting back into Disney when Frozen came out. I did see Once Upon A Studio. I did love it, and oh my goodness, as someone who has watched Disney films since childhood, it almost had me in tears... and I'm not kidding when I say that! Thank you for telling me about it! Been also seeing Pinocchio, the original one, but not the whole thing just yet. Those first few scenes got me real nostalgic, though! Since I've also seen it when I was a child.
Also wanted to mention this to you. Remember when we were chatting about having train rides a while back? My mom and I got to visit a railroad museum and they had short train rides open, so we got to have them. They were fun.
@MarioLover92 It's A Small World is neat to experience at least once, though I wouldn't call it my favorite ride at Disney (either park). I don't know hardly any Japanese and can't read it at all, so I'd certainly need a translator. There are several languages I'd like to learn, but I have no clue when I'll find time to shove them in with everything else. I know some German and a handful of Spanish, but I'm not fluent in anything but English. I like casual hiking, nothing crazy, just getting out in nature for a couple hours now and then.
I've never really had the opportunity to go to a comic convention since many are so far away, but I'd certainly consider putting together a halfway decent costume if I get to one. The closest major one I know of is in Indy, and that isn't a short drive either.
Gotcha, I'll definitely check it out regardless. I do like more relaxing rides, after all. I'd actually like to learn Japanese sometime, as well as quite a few others. Provided that I have the time of course. That sounds similar to me, I like going into nature parks in my local area, just chilling out and walking through them. Love all the scenery... especially when it's fall. <3
Yeah neither have I, many of those kind of places are so far away from my area. I know there's a New York Comic Con, so it's kinda close, but not really. It already takes me a while to get from my home to NYC, lol.

Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World
AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@Princess_Lilly It depends on the folklores themselves. Since different stories have different characterizations & all that jazz.
Kumihos/Gumiho are often consider malevolent & have a taste for human livers. While huli jings are much closer to kitsunes in terms of alignment. Either good, bad, or nuetral.
But honestly, they're really not much different. But with folklore, it varies from tale-to-tale, to say the least.
I sell my famous Chesapeake Tupperware.
I ACCEPT NO DEBIT CARDS!
DO YOU HEAR ME!?!
@Sunsy XD Yes, that scene is in the first one! One of many funny moments. It's still the best horror parody franchise IMO.
I'm sure I'd like Dracula Dead and Loving It, especially since Mel Brooks is involved. X3 I did see your mention in the movie thread; I don't currently own a Roku but will definitely try to give that movie a watch soon. Nice spread of games you're playing too, in fact I've seen you talk about Monster Bash elsewhere I believe. Might have to look that one up if it's very short. I do like the occasional retro DOS game.
Yeah, also as @XandertheWise pointed out in the thread, it's also on Tubi. Watched it last night, and I think my mom wants to do Young Frankenstein too now. I think it will be worth watching for Halloween. Yeah, that was in the Halloween gaming thread. It's fun, even if it is on the difficult side.
@MarioLover92 Glad you're liking Super Mario Wonder. Not only on November 17th, I have tickets to the early showing of Trolls Band Together on November 4th. Getting to see this one twice. All I need to do is get a ride to the theater, which I can do with Lyft. I'm going to the early access showing. Yup, the YouTube algorithm can be the most broken thing at times.
Never had biscuit tea, mostly just black tea, lemon tea, and a few fruit flavors. It is, I like it. More so during December when they can add peppermint to it.
Thanks. Yeah, I've been playing Kirby since the SNES. I remember that guide, and Super Game Boy, I always messed with the colors to see what looked nice. Or even just mess with the borders, lol I remember the tip to use the drawing borders for game notes, and now reminded of the notes on 3DS. That's cool, I still remember Kirby Super Star made me want to play more Kirby. I think it was rented before I actually got my own copy. Should play that sometimes on the SNES Online.
Finding Nemo is a really good movie. Good movie to get back into Disney on. I actually cried during Once Upon A Studio, it was beautifully done. You're welcome. Nice, that was my favorite Disney movie as a kid, glad you started watching it again.
Nice. That's pretty cool, last time I rode a train was into New York when my dad, brother, and I went to a WWE event at Madison Square Garden in NY. Before that, it was a couple of subway rides into NY with dad, but those aren't as fun as they're underground. The train to go see WWE was above ground until we reached NY, so that was nice.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
