@Eagly I've heard a morning shower can help with waking up, but for several reasons - time and preference mainly - I much prefer to shower at night. Alarms are a necessary evil lol. I used to not need them for the most part, but my on-off insomnia struggles make them almost a requirement.
I certainly understand "too many games, too little time". True, the Wii U would be less useful if those three games move over, but it's also my de facto Wii machine; I don't currently own another means to play the handful of physical Wii titles I still own. Not to mention it's a pretty valuable Virtual Console box. XCX certainly deserves the port treatment. I know Monolith Soft said years ago that it would be a titanic undertaking to port, but they have more staff and the series now has more visibility. I think it is doable...though the Gamepad was pretty integral to properly viewing the in-game map. I want XCX2, not only out of sheer preference but also for reasons I won't spoil regarding XCX's ending.
I'm not sure if Noah was going to XC2's world per se, I took it to mean they're merging...or at least the ending tune meant there's a hint of it (Love the flute tunes in the game BTW). I do indeed hope that the DLC story addresses this point. I doubt it'll address everything, but I'll at least take a few answers at this point lol.
@MarioLover92 No issues from me; I like a good pun (or even a bad one) every now and then.
That first Twilight Princess dungeon probably wouldn't have been as bad if I'd had prior experience with Zelda titles; I don't entirely recall where I got stuck, I just remember being frustrated that Link couldn't jump. I think it had something to do with a multi-floor room with those annoying bomb bugs. Okami is a beautiful game, a lot like Zelda with its dungeons and action/adventure mechanics, but it has its own identity via its own art style, the brush powers, and how much it intertwines with Japanese Shinto (a bit of Buddhism too). I've 100%ed the game, but I assure you it wasn't easy; I had to enlist my brother's help for a memory puzzle at one point back when I still lived with my parents and had more time on my hands. I doubt I could 100% it on further playthroughs lol.
@TheBigBlue I do suggest pulling the trigger when the game is on sale and if you're curious. I've not played the Switch version; I'd like to get it someday. But my backlog and already owning a playable copy of the game makes it a lower priority.
@Sunsy I'm normally not one for fighting games, but there's something about the different versions of Street Fighter II that I really like. Mostly due to the aesthetics and nostalgia I think. I quite like video game pinball too - Space Cadet on Windows XP and Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire helped solidify my love of those machines I believe - but I do prefer physical cabinets overall.
I'd love a true local arcade, but for various reasons they're a dying business. I'm told a local mall (now dying) had an arcade years ago, but it closed. I normally have to rely on a bowling place or bar & grill to have something that even resembles a collection.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
TIL that when Club Nintendo was closing its doors in Japan for My Nintendo, one of their final redeemable presents was a two-disc soundtrack containing staff roll themes in various games from the NES all the way to Wii U.
@Eagly Yup, in the case of Lego Dimensions, I'm sure someone's playthrough has videos of the instructions too.
Cool. The only other Lego game I have is Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Wii U. I should consider playing it more since I liked what I played.
That's fine, when you consider PC gaming, hope you like it.
@Anti-Matter Yeah, if Pinocchio was shown in theaters, I would have seen it that way. FWIW, I'm one of the few who actually liked the remake. I would have loved to see Turning Red and Luca in theaters.
I haven't seen the new trailer yet, I've been meaning to give the trailer a look for some time.
Yeah, some episodes were posted to Disney Junior's YouTube channel, but the whole series is on Disney+. Still nice to see some Alice Wonderland Bakery episodes made it to YouTube officially, others can enjoy some episodes of the show too. Such an adorable and sweet series.
Simple answer, it's Tim Burton. I believe darker or weirder styles are his thing. Though I never seen that version of Alice in Wonderland. Only the Disney original, and a very obscure Disney Channel show known as Adventures in Wonderland. It was like a live action show with puppets.
@JadeKitsune Really cool. It's an older show, but I love Sofia the First. I was really late to it, and when I finally saw it, I was surprised at how good the show was.
@Tyranexx That is kind of similar to why I like Mortal Kombat, albeit not the style so much, it has more to do with the idea that at the time, it was an example of a game that was in the arcades being translated for home. I do enjoy the game, I was just playing the GOG version of Mortal Kombat 2 this evening, but that idea of having an arcade game at home was just something that always stuck with me, even with other games by Sega. Cool, I have the original Pokemon Pinball, Sonic Pinball Party, and I love Sonic Spinball.
Yeah, I haven't been to one in a long time. Last time I was at an arcade was in 2015, the NJ boardwalk always had video games to play. Wow, I was wondering if bowling alleys still had video games as I was playing MK2 this evening too. O.o I remember seeing an MK2 machine at a bowling alley, but never played it.
