@TeaCatherine Hello. No, I don't think they ever sold it, the whole thing is one hot mess. I'll just give up and buy the normal version. I didn't want to repeat my mistake with Ni No Kuni when I didn't buy the special edition and had to hunt it years later, because the game is that good.

Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes

@ComfyAko I thought you said that you saw it on Ebay once?

Great day yesterday, my friend came to visit and we had a day of gaming. We played Mario Kart and Super Mario 3D World because it was Mario Day, and we squeezed in some Smurfs Kart, Star Wars Episode 1 Racer and Mortal Kombat 3 in. Also had pizza.

Also, I finished that show I started watching Jelly Jamm. What an overlooked show, I genuinely liked it.

Time to get to some late replies. Thursday I had a doctor's appointment, and Friday my friend visited.

Tomorrow 9 March 2023 there will be Level-5 Presentation 2023 at 8 am Japan time (6 am here in Indonesia).
Will you waiting for upcoming games by Level-5 ?
I think we can have same idea from Fantasy Life games.

Genuinely, I can't look forward to any Level-5 games. As much as I liked playing Yo-Kai watch, all the new games aren't coming to stateside.

I don't want to get my hopes up for games that I'll never be able to play due to being stuck in a specific region. Sad too since Yo-Kai Watch was really good when I played it, even though I only have the first game.

@Sunsy I do quite like driving cabinets in general, though I don't deny that some of them are hard to control lol. This is deliberate I'm sure since their main purpose, besides entertainment, is to milk coins!

Pretty much arcades in a nutshell. I remember the first time playing the arcade version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, it was hard. Compared to playing the version on Sega Channel back then, thank goodness for the "easiest" difficulty.

Playing Star Wars Episode 1 Racer recently, I got reminded of the Sega version. Was a unique driving cabinet that emulated the controls shown in the movie with two levers. My favorite driving cabinet was Sega Super GT and Ferrari F355 challenge. Came across the Ferrari game and it had three screens, really cool to try in person.

@Sunsy that is what makes this site great. It’s my only social media for a reason. I am not here to get into pointless debates about politics or economics that won’t change anyones mind and only succeed in upsetting everyone. I am here to chill out and talk about games/movies

Now to talk about economics. NFTs at least to me are entirely worthless. Your ownership of them is conditional at best. NFTS don’t have any legal power over ownership itself it’s like writing on a paper you own something. The art you have an NFT of dosen’t hold the power of owning traditional art because it isn’t physical and looking at the artwork of something you have an NFT of is no different from “right clicking it”. And the same applies to games that use NFT’s there is nothing an NFT can allow a game to do it was unable to do before.

I get it trolls merch like all merch undoubtedly sells best when there are movies in theaters because that is when public interest is at its peak. But I also understand wanting merch to exist and being disappointed that it just dosen’t exist. I could make a huge list of franchises I want to have more merch and merch I want made. Some merchandise can be really awesome like my favorite piece of merchandise of all time (I know I mention this franchise a lot) the gravity falls journal number 3 which expands the lore characters and world of gravity falls beautifully

Thank you for the explanation I understand why people like DRM free games. Just makes things more convenient and from my understanding anti piracy software can slow a game’s performance so a higher frame rate can’t hurt

Indeed. I love talking about games, movies, and just anything here.

Yeah, also, the whole concept, to my understanding, is like owning something that's digital, but it can be taken away at any time should the server fails, plus NFTs use a lot of power from my understanding which is bad for the environment. Again, just from what I understand at least, I never looked into them nor do I have an interest in them. It is disappointing when gaming companies and others want to do it.

Yup, it also helped there was a Netflix cartoon in the past, funny thing is, it still used the movie branding and artwork. Imagine advertising a toy for a Netflix cartoon, but still marketing it as if it was a piece of movie merch. I think I only have a shirt with 2D cartoon Poppy on it, the rest use her movie look. I'm with you on wishing more shows had more merch. Especially lesser known shows. I just watched Jelly Jamm, an overlooked cartoon that was surprisingly good IMO, I would love plushies of all the characters, but being a lesser known show, very little merch exists (mostly UK DVDs).

You're welcome. It's something I wish more people knew, because honestly, it feels good being able to have digital games that can be played without a client or internet access. Oh man, I had the PC version of Sonic Mania between the period of Wii U and getting a Switch, Denuvo was no fun to have. Glad Sega removed it.

@Sunsy Nice, that's cool you finished Star Wars Dark Forces. I'm admittedly not super into Star Wars, but I have watched a couple of the movies and played a few of its games. That's kind of it though.

I never played the GBA Banjo games, just the ones on the N64. I played Donkey Kong 64 a ton when I was a kid, too. It was a decent game I think, though I remember some parts were... a bit infuriating for my child self. Namely the minigames the game throws at you throughout. One of the bosses gave me so much trouble back then, too.

Yeah, my mall feels a lot different from how it was back in the 90s and 2000s. It's still a nice place to shop, but some places closed down, such as Sears. My mall has a GameStop store as well, and at one point it even had two of them after EB Games closed. Ah wow that's cool you got a Wii U game at GameStop at that time, what game was it if you don't mind me asking?

That's cool, I do remember that you like Sofia the First. Nothing wrong with that, of course. The songs I've seen on that Disney store's TV was one of the songs from Peter Pan (didn't see what the song title was, I know it was the one with pirates), and Reflection from Mulan.

I have an Anna plush as well! She's my favorite character from Frozen so I had to get her, lol. It'd be fun to shop for more Disney stuff somehow, been getting into a Disney mood lately.

Alrighty, thought I'd mention it since it's a classic FPS similar to Doom, though has some puzzle elements too and a story driven plot. Kinda had modern FPS elements in a game from 1995.

Wow, I think the third boss in DK64, the one where you jump platform to platform, that was hard. I got reminded of how the game was when I bought it on Wii U years ago. Shows how well the N64 evolved as the levels and world looked like actual locations too.

Yeah, last time I was in a mall, I wanted to go to Hallmark for some Itty Bittys (they're like mini plushies), and they had a Five Below. At least my go to place for Japanese food was still there. They even added a new toy store, but I didn't go. I use to go to Sears at the mall too, but it's gone. I remember getting my Sonic shirts there in the mid 2000's. It was Sonic & All-Star Racing Transformed, another copy. For Wii and Wii U I got a few extra discs of games I like when they were cheap just to have on hand if it should ever scratch or stop working.

Indeed, I think the TV there always had some sort of clips, I still remember the layout of the store too, when they re-opened it had a redesign and it felt like walking into something a bit more than a store.

It would be fun, the last few times I got anything related to Disney was at a local Target, a few Alice's Wonderland Bakery things like a book and a figure set (I always loved Disney figure sets, they just look nice). Last few Disney things I got were Christmas gifts.

@ComfyAko Oh god, my sister just mentioned FNAF and I had horrible flashbacks to last night.

Hopefully you enjoy it. Wind Waker is probably my favorite game in the series ( tied between that, Majora’s Mask, and Twilight Princess.), and it’s perfect for someone to try out the series with.

I’m starting to wonder how my brother-in-law became so good at connect four.

Either that or I just suck.

@Eel Tell him to look behind, then quickly swap the positions of his chips.

Or just don't play Connect Four anymore. IDK, IDC.

Sometimes I have dreams and hopes that horrible things would happen to people that ever wronged me.

@TeaCatherine I some it on some auction site, but I don't recall this ever being in any game shop, I have no idea how this individual even got his hands on it.
There is no escaping the FNAF, but at least the MatPats are gone.

Don't we all

I'm just happy my bullies are begging in the gutter somewhere, and I won't even accept the fact that it might not be the case.

@ComfyAko Although I do learn that bullies turn out that way due to some form of self-loathing, like maybe my bullies had a rough life at home, and they're jealous of me having a much happier family life.

Also I hope that an OC I create for others to adopt will appear in an animated movie or short.
