@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Those who know know (the Chicken Tai food word puzzle thing). Also you can go on the Nintendo Switch eshop and find games with that word that are rated T, truly odd.
That is odd. I wanna say it's just the Japanese word for pervert, but if it has an ESRB rating and not a CERO rating, I can't use that as an excuse.

I don't really care what your stance on hacking is: you have to admit that this is really, REALLY cool.
Ever since the closure of the eShops were announced for both 3DS and Wii U, my main concern was that a bunch of online games were going to be rendered almost useless in most likely 1-2 years time. So to see the fans take action themselves and get something similar to Wiimfi up and running is so damn cool to see. Games with huge multiplayer communities like Splatoon will live on, Miiverse can be resurrected just like it always was, Pokemon's trading and battling systems can continue as if nothing ever happened and you can even upload Mario Maker 1 levels again! It's such a cool thing that makes it so games can never truly die in today's day and age....and I just think that's neat
Highly recommend you watch the full video by the way, it goes far more in-depth about all this than I ever could!

That looks cool! I have a 3ds, actually. Got it when I was around 8 or so. And I was disappointed when I figured out Miiverse wasn't a thing anymore. And I don't mind pirating, I pirate anime and such all the time, and I pirated Tomodachi life when I was around 10 (Don't worry, I wound up buying the actual game on the eshop)

@Kermit1 You're welcome! I need to quit putting off loading Pokemon Home on my 3DS and transferring up some of my Pokemon before March. I'll need to double check on game compatibility though. I might just transfer legendary and event 'Mon for the most part.
Edit: Oof, apparently I need to reinstall Pokemon Bank for Home connectivity. This'll be "fun"....
I love potatoes, especially sweet potatoes. Most types of potatoes are very versatile and can be used in different ways. In fact, I might steam some mini potatoes with my supper later.

I....don't think you should be admitting to that.

The only thing stopping me from hacking my 3ds is the fact that I don’t want to brick it. And also I think it is useless if your 3ds is on the latest firmware.

@blindsquarel The latest update does not make it useless.
Also homebrew/hacking for 3DS has come so far that it's pretty mech impossible to brick your system. In fact if you do brick it everything can be recovered because of how far Homebrew has come.
@Kermit1
I worded that last part wrong. From what I saw in the past, the latest update on the 3ds doesn’t allow homebrew to be installed. Maybe I saw old stuff though, I will have to look into it. It would be nice have it though. I would just need to find out how to get the rom’s.

I have four 3DS XL machines (2 USA machines: Old 3DS XL and New 3DS XL, 1 Japan machine, 1 PAL machine) and I keep them being original and I have updated all of them to the latest update since all my 3DS and NDS games are original.
I bought Old 3DS XL USA in November 2013, New 3DS XL USA in February 2017, New 3DS LL Japan in November 2018, New 3DS XL PAL in June 2020.
One of my favorite 3DS game is Yokai Watch 3.
@Kermit1
If you have some budget, you can try to get older consoles like Wii or PS3 since they have very unique games library during 7th generation video games.
PS3 or Wii games are really cheap today if you find from your local games store. Here in Indonesia, used PS3 games are sold with very cheap to fairly cheap prices and that's why I like to purchase them since I can get the PS3 games from my local online shopping website in my country without too depended from Ebay or play-asia. I only hunt the games from Ebay / play-asia if the games are very hard to find from my country.
@Kermit1
Before I make a fool out of myself, are you joking?
Also that is very unfortunate with the games, at least you didn’t give away all your old Pokémon cards that now would be worth quite a bit of money. Stupid cousin thought he would burn them to make matters worse. That was during my “ I’m to old for this crap” phase.

@blindsquarel I was like 8 when they closed and I never thought of asking for a console because my parents (for a while) always said no. Then one day when I was 9 my Mom came home with a Wii Mini and the rest is history.
edit I had no idea what a Sega Pico was then but I saw a box of what they looked like yesterday and had an AH-HA moment.
@Sunsy I do admire geese and waterfowl...from a distance. I'm not crazy enough to go very close to them. Not only are they usually not bothering anyone, but the tales of how aggressive they can be aren't unfounded lol. Next time I'm on my laptop (posting on mobile RN), I'll try to remember to upload that owl photo on PostImage.
Same, I usually look at them from afar. If I get any zoomed in animal pictures, it's usually with the zoom feature on my phone. Sounds good. I think I could dig around my pictures, just recently transferred them from my phone to a USB stick via PC, so I can clean up my phone's pictures a bit.
Hope you're all having a good day. Gonna be quoting the replies I've gotten since mine's rather late again, lol. @Sunsy might like to hear this, mom and I saw Sleeping Beauty tonight. It's one Disney movie I've never seen as a kid, and we both enjoyed it!
@MarioLover92 I remember the Zelda Edition Wii U; that one was tempting, but I don't recall why I never got it; either I was holding out or already had one lol. I think those transfer restrictions were in order to keep people from manipulating their online data to cheat. While I can understand the sentiment....If someone wants to cheat badly enough, they unfortunately probably will.
Yeah, I never got the Zelda edition Wii U, either. Mainly because I already had a Wii U of my own, I've had mine since Christmas 2012. Yeah... they may still be likely to find a way to cheat. Thankfully, I didn't come across any cheaters, except that one time in Mario Kart Wii many years back. I haven't seen a single soul who cheated in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, either.
Yeah, usually if I see amiibo while I'm out and want it, I'll try to pick it up as I see them. It's the only way I can get amiibo normally. That's how I got a Roaslina one. Went to Target for an errand, they had one left, and just bought it. I miss Toys R Us, they had the best selection of amiibo (and awesome character stuff too).
Sounds like me, I think it was even less I played. I played a bit, but didn't have time to put into it like I wanted to. Yeah it came with Master Quest.
I've been doing the same thing as well, picking up amiibos as I see them available in person. One time at GameStop, I found some amiibos that I've been wanting for some time (Sonic and Mega Man), plus the Gold Mario amiibo that I mentioned earlier. That's awesome and lucky you got Rosalina that way. I miss Toys R Us, as well... didn't they go out of business earlier? That's too bad that happened.
Gotcha. Plus I don't want to have to resort to a guide when I play any game, especially early on like with Majora's Mask. I might have to whenever I come back to it... oh well. lol
