@seaboyluca I used to play it a lot back when I was in college, we had a group of active players so it was a lot of fun.
A friend who never really wanted to try it back then recently bought the game on his switch, and has been enjoying it a lot. So that's why I went and bought it too.
@seaboyluca Agreed. If someone asks me, or I just checked it out for the first time, I'll give my opinion, that's the extent of it. Browsing the Internet, I do see stuff I don't like regarding shows, movies, games, etc. The best thing to do is not engage with it.
Want to talk about something specific? There's always someone out there to chat about it. Any form of entertainment has its fans. Yeah some things may be more popular than others, but that doesn't mean it's the only thing people talk about. There's lots of less popular things that are enjoyable too.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
Due to shipping forecasts and my schedule, I probably won't be playing XC3 until next weekend. Though MAYBE Thursday for a couple of hours if I can work it in. While I'm off work Friday, I'll be traveling to a theme park in an adjoining state and hanging out with my brother for the day. I'd consider taking my Switch if I wasn't driving, plus the forecasted temp means I'm NOT leaving it outside or in a vehicle. That would be a good way to invite damage....
@Kermit1 Oof. Sad indeed. I don't think I've ever been to a bad farmer's market, though I know they exist. A ton of bruised, rotting produce is not an impression you want to leave with potential customers. As for country music, I can handle a little of the older stuff from the time periods you listed if I'm in the right mood. But the modern stuff, with a small handful of exceptions, makes me want to gouge out my ears. I hope you find a decent antique!
@MarioLover92 Part of my lukewarm reception to Smash is that I've never really played it with anyone, just on my own. And I never got nearly comfortable enough with it to try playing online. To Smash Ultimate's credit, it does have a story mode. If I ever do get the game, I'll at least work my way through that.
Ah, yes, Gerudo Desert is a fun area! The Yiga Clan hideout can be a pain, but it's all worth it in the end. Though I daresay it's more of a fun place in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity lol. It took me a bit on my first attempt too.
Funny that you mentioned that Wave 2 hadn't happened yet (yesterday evening), and today we received news on when it drops! I'm sure I'll try it in time when playing online on occasion....Or if I eventually can access the NSO expansion somehow. Funny that Waluigi receives some love in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but not Smash so much.
@TheJGG Holy cow, thanks for sharing those beautiful photos! It's like entering another world almost! Crazy that there are views like that on this planet. That distance shot especially encapsulates why I love mountains so much. Amazing views, especially when you're above the clouds! I think the highest mountain I went on is Pike's Peak in Colorado when I was a teen, and MAN did I contract altitude sickness. I wanted to be outside so bad but couldn't stand it for more than a few moments. Comes with being used to a pretty low elevation, I suppose.
I made the mistake of ordering Infernax from LRG because I thought that it would be exclusive ... again my local retailer had it several MONTHS before I got my copy from LRG.
Because of that now I wait to see if there will be a worldwide physical release before ordering from LRG!
@BruceCM Hope you got your copy and are enjoying it! I’ve played eight hours today, and it’s been amazing. Won’t say much more so you can have a truly vanilla experience. Happy gaming!
@MarioLover92 Glad you liked the photos, thanks for enjoying them! It was extremely foggy when I was passing through the area on the way down, and realised how the trees had a shadow like effect since it was so white. During my slight altitude-addled episode (of surprising clarity) I took out my phone and Bob’s your uncle. Hopefully I can take some more good ones soon!
@Tyranexx Thank you so much! I’m really glad you liked them too! Thing is, over here it’s rare to get a completely cloudless sky, so getting that beautiful blue hue up there was really nice. The clouds were like a blanket, covering almost everything.
One thing I’ve accepted with altitude sickness though, is that it doesn’t care how fit you are. It’ll get you all the same. In that one day we drove from sea level to 2000m, then walked from 2000m to 3300m. That’s an enormous change and apart from breathing I’m surprised I got away with it. I’d love to try Pikes Peak though… at least you can drive up there instead of hiking. My legs are jelly right now, I can’t even get out of bed without falling over! Love that kind of pain. Not!
Unfortunately for you poor souls there’s still a few more here…
@Kermit1 Yep, not to mention modern country often covers topics that I have no interest in. Beer is digusting (with a couple of exceptions), trucks do nothing for me, nor do losing hound dogs or women.... I will take some of that Masayoshi Takanaka however.
@TheJGG Clouds are neat phenomena to watch, especially from vantage points we aren't accustomed to. More beautiful views under your last post, too!
That is a heck of an elevation change in the span of a few hours. Pike's Peak's summit is indeed vehicle accessible; my dad drove the whole way, and my mom was afraid he'd run off the side of the road (To be fair, he isn't always the most attentive driver); we made it though! I hope your jelly legs heal soon! I've never had them from hiking, but from other activities....It's a feat if one can even move the next day.
