For some reason I have Septerra Core on my mind the last couple of days.
Anyone remember this hidden gem from back in the day?
It was pretty unique because it was one of the few JRPG-style games on PC.
Would love to see a release on Switch. A good remaster would be the dream, but I'd be happy with a straight port as well. Probably never going to happen though.
On that note, Monolith Productions (not Monolith Soft) were the publishers of that game but they were also the developers of some of my favorite games on PC, especially Blood and Get Medieval. The former was one of the goriest 3D shooters at that time and the latter was basically a very polished clone of Gauntlet.
There are so many games from back in the day I'd love to play again if I had the chance.
@Sunsy I always think that white pizza sounds amazing — the toppings are always incredible — but I just can't handle the blandness of it most of the time. I miss the tang of tomato!!

In a few days my big vacation starts, and I got HUGE travel anxiety. I will be on NintendoLife forums during my vacation, if I start posting photos of Litten that means I'm stressed and trying to chill out, ease my mind.
Anxiety sucks.
Here's a pineapple post since that's funny right now lol Your food eats you back
@Kermit1
Ugh, I know the feeling very well. Not for traveling per se, but anxiety in general.
It's exhausting, you don't feel like yourself, and all you can think about is the warm embrace of a well known safe place.
Best of luck!
@seaboyluca airports and planes are what I'm fearing most. But I'll do what I normally do to kill the anxiety for a short time, breathe and keep my head clear.
I also get a feeling in my gut (my real one) that feels like a golf ball expanding and shrinking.
Today that happened while I was cutting my chapel's lawn, I thought I just needed to use the bathroom but I didn't, so I had to calm my stressed mind down by breathing and power through it. I'm fine now.
Ya'll don't know how much NintendoLife forums have helped my social skills and my anxiety.
@Sunsy and @Tyranexx - I'm sorry for the late reply. I don't know if you've seen it in my other posts, but I've been depressed recently. I'm feeling a little better now, at least.
@Sunsy That's cool, I liked messing around with that level select as well, in all the Genesis Sonic games. Just jumping to whichever zone I want, lol. I saw that the Sonic Origins version of Sonic 2 has more zones for the multiplayer, which is cool. Kinda wish the original game had more zones, but I'd assume it's due to hardware limitations.
@Tyranexx Ah yeah you're totally right, in the original Wii U version, the last batch of DLC came out in 2015. I was still in my early 20s at that time, lol! I wonder what courses we'd get in the next wave, I'm sure Nintendo's been hard at work on them.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
Write down the titles that you have interest or curiosity on paper and have some deliberation before you choose which machine should you get based on the games quantity you can pick.
I can't believe how suckered into fighting games I've become after beating Street Fighter 2 for the first time. I've always adored watching the genre (I have more subscriptions to FGC-specific channels than you could ever imagine) but I've never really been able to play it all too much until they made SF2 free for a limited time on Capcom Arcade Stadium. I had never picked up CAS before but I thought 'Eh, may as well'. I have now beaten SF2 once with Ken, am nearly done a second playthrough with Chun-Li, have played it for over 3 and a half hours overall and am about to pick up the €60 bundle of Capcom Fighting Collection and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, which include a total of 22 extra games. It's crazy how a single game can entirely convert you to the genre as a whole, isn't it?
Cannot wait to play Street Fighter Alpha, 3: Third Strike and Darkstalkers though.

@ogo79 I didn't know boots were supposed to be for comedy. I thought they were made for walking? mic drop
@Kermit1 I don't mind posts with Litten at all. Not only do I like Pokemon, but cats are pretty far up there for me as far as animals are concerned too. Have you never been on a plane before? I've flown several times, and they really aren't much to get worked up about IMO. Airports...I don't hate them per se, but I hate security checks and the more crowded ones make me anxious since I have a form of agoraphobia. All I can say is..remember to breathe deep, fill-your-lungs-up breaths, and remind yourself that you're safe.
@MarioLover92 No need to apologize to me; believe me, I get it. No harm in taking some time off from the interwebs. Glad you're feeling a bit better. Take all the time you need.
I never played the Wii U version of Mario Kart 8, but I know any DLC it received was released in the deluxe Switch version. I'm interested to see the courses too, if only to gauge if they'll design any based on other franchises like the Zelda and Animal Crossing courses.
@Tyranexx I've been on a plane tons of times. It's been like 6 years since my last flight and oh boy is my travel anxiety and normal anxiety combined making my mental state weird. I'll be fine though I'm probably excited to see some family I've not seen in irl for like 6 years, add the travel anxiety and my brain is probably overloaded with what's going to happen next week and for the next 2 weeks.
Also I'll be travelling with my family (mom, dad, brother), so I'm not too worried. Fun fact about me, I still sleep with a stuffed dog I've had since I was like 7, I like to cuddle lol.
@Kermit1 I see. Typically if someone has plane anxiety (in my experience anyway), it has to do with a fear of heights, claustrophobia, or general dislike of public transportation. I don't really mind them since I like the view and have something separating me (the seats) from others. Plus I bring enough material to keep me occupied. I started Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time on my last round trip in February. I hadn't been on a plane since late 2019 before that for a short work-related trip.
I think you'll be fine. You're traveling with others you know, and I'm sure you're also arming yourself against boredom. Just remember to breathe and that while the anxiety feels real, you aren't in any real danger. Stuffed animals are fun too, I used to collect them. I used to sleep with them too until I started feeling bad about booting them out of bed...and got too lazy when it came to moving them lol.
