To save electricity, my family has started switching off TVs and games consoles at the wall at night and when we're out, which is probably a good idea but I'm slightly worried about the older and possibly more failure-prone consoles we have plugged in like the Wii and PS3. I'm not sure if their electricity supply being switched on and off every day is any good for them. This is almost certainly just me being paranoid but does anyone know if there's any actual cause for concern there?
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
@Tyranexx Hope you enjoy Brave when you see it, and hope the spoiler worked because they seem to be broken. The TV thread spoiled something I posted about Alice's Wonderland Bakery due to the new spoiler tag not covering all of it.
@burgerkingsauce Apologies for not being sure what you're referring to since I haven't seen an AntDude video. I'm guessing it's either the My Little Pony game or the Kirby Super Star still teaching me how to copy even though I chose "no."
@MarioLover92 Yeah, it's really cool. Agreed, the series could use more love. I haven't hated any of the F-Zero games I've played.
Yup, that's the impression I got with the cards. I still need to pick up that game, I tried it when they had the trial, and enjoyed it, but never got the game. I chose to wait until I can get a physical copy of the game since I wanted Mario Tennis Aces as that instead of digital.
Yup, I have two of them, one's a bigger CD book and a smaller one with Jimmy Neutron on it. I think Smashing Live is hiding in the Jimmy Neutron case. Funny really, cartoons of the time period had those cases, and they're a thing of the past now.
@Anti-Matter With Cars 2 and 3, I just like racing. Genuinely, just enjoy driving around the tracks. My favorite Cars game is the original on both GameCube and GBA. GameCube was basically like Need for Speed for kids, you had races and a free roaming world to drive in. The GBA version is an isometric racer, always been a sucker for those.
When it comes to third party game, if it interests me, then I may look into it before buying it. Unless it has a demo to try, or a free-to-play game, I could try it for myself to see if I like it. Usually, when it comes to cartoon-based games, if it's a cartoon series I like, 10/10 times I will just buy them anyway, no matter the reception it gets. Usually licensed based games have a bad rep anyway, so I just enjoy them being a fan of said series.
I want to check out the new Kao, I might not get it right away, but playing one of the original games on PC sparked more interest in it. A few years back the publisher gave the second Kao game away on Steam as part of an offer, so I took up on it and checked out the game that way.
@Anti-Matter I probably did. I finished the adventure mode, but I didn't do any of the post-game stuff. Most of my time in MTA was playing online, and I haven't touched the game since like 2019 or so. There's not really any upcoming 3rd party games that caught my eye at the moment.
@Sunsy Yeah totally. We haven't seen a new game since 2004! I'm so ready for a new one to come out - I can't help but think that it's the perfect opportunity to make a new F-Zero for the Switch. They made a new Cruis'n game last year, after all.
Yeah if you enjoyed the MTA trial, I'd say it's worth picking up. Especially now since they had the last content update for quite some time. I'd be glad to play some rounds with you as well.
True, seems like CDs in general are not exactly in high demand these days. Unless we get a sort of CD renaissance, like what happened with vinyl records the past decade. The CD case I have is just a regular black leather case, I've had that since a family member lent their PlayStation 1 to me all those years ago.

Well, on the 1 hand, I doubt it'll save much, @Dogorilla .... & Things are designed more for convenience these days, so they know most people don't bother turning off sockets usually
But it certainly shouldn't do any harm! Best turn consoles off by their button before switching off the wall 1, though, just in case
@MarioLover92
I personally have low interest with Mario games despite I like to buy certain Mario games, compared with 3rd party games that have more diversity and I like to adapt with new gameplay that Mario games don't have. I can see myself rarely touch my Mario games oncey I have finished the games. It wasn't bad but I think since my gaming nature like to try something not so popular things, some 3rd party games I played gave me more delight than Mario games.
I was wondering, even I knew you like Mario stuffs so much, have you ever for once liking the non Mario stuffs and getting along with those franchises (non 1st party games) ?
Even I like DDR games so much, but I still want to experience with other games that I think they have potential. And that's why I collected a lot of different games from different consoles. I want to try them.
About 3rd party games, what kind of 3rd party games you like to play since you don't show some enthusiasts with 3rd party games ?
The 3rd party games I meant was like Kao the Kangaroo 2022, Smurfs Mission Vileaf, Epic Chef, Overcooked All You Can Eat, something cartoonish like Mario but with different genre.
Oh, did you still play games from your other consoles?
I was wondering, even I knew you like Mario stuffs so much, have you ever for once liking the non Mario stuffs and getting along with those franchises (non 1st party games) ?
Well, yeah. What, you think I only play Mario and that's it? I play and enjoy a wide variety of games myself. I've been a gamer for as long as I can remember, and I play way more than just Mario, you know. Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, F-Zero, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Sonic, Mega Man, Castlevania, and a good variety of indie games like Shovel Knight, Celeste, and Cuphead - I even love playing Tetris. Even if you're just looking at the Nintendo franchises that I mentioned, that's still a good range of genres being covered.
It also depends on what kind of game I'm currently in the mood for. Recently, I've been playing a ton of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, since the first wave of DLC courses is out now. Yesterday, I played Splatoon 2 with some friends of mine as well.
Mario has just always been my #1 favorite, especially the main Super Mario platformers and the Mario Kart series. They were a HUGE part of my childhood, they're the reason why I still game, and they're just plain fun to play, even today - Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World are just two of my favorite games of all time. But again, I play more than just Mario games, like the other ones I've mentioned in this very post.

I was wondering, is there any dishes that made of wood log ?
Literally you cooked a whole wood log on a pan.
I saw a bizzare dish that made of wood log from Epic Chef game I played and I wonder how was the taste. 🤔
Here is the video of cooking battle with using wood logs as main ingredients. (Watch at 2:45)
