@Sunsy
Well, it looks like I always have difficulty to discuss with other users who have interest with certain 3rd party games as I have low interest with Mario games and still have on the fence feeling with Sonic games despite I collect a few Sonic games, not really interested to discuss about Mario or Sonic games or the games you discussed a lot with MarioLover92.

I oftenly felt lonely for unable to find any user who also have same interest as mine and could discuss more about the games.
I considered myself as Rhythm gamer, like to discuss about DDR and other BEMANI games and for the non Rhythm games, I like to discuss about games like Yokai Watch or Portal Knights or Epic Chef that I got hyped recently.
What other games that you like to discuss especially 3rd party games and might be I have same interest with yours after My Little Pony ?

Rhythm gonna hit your head.

Played Kirby Super Star, I just noticed something. Even though I say "no" to explaining copy (I had this as a kid on SNES, I know how to play), it still proceeds to explain to me how to use copy.

@reporterdavid Hi there, things go good here. Hope things are good for you too.

@Kermit1 Awesome! Thanks, it's just my favorite character, Poppy, from the Trolls series of movies (and shows as there's two cartoon series). I was using Poppy before, the 2D one from the Netflix cartoon Trolls: The Beat Goes On.

@Link-Hero Just checked my post on my phone, it didn't even hide the second spoiler I had for the Sonic movie. That could be a problem for mobile users, I mainly post from my PC, and it looks correct there.

@Anti-Matter Other games I like? A variety of them like platformers, arcade-style racers, shooters, some puzzle games, just to name a few. Since you mention My Little Pony, I just always loved games based off cartoons and characters I like, I'm guessing you're leaning towards that. It's also why I love playing Smurfs: Mission Vileaf (honestly, a really polished game too) as well.

Other cartoon games I've played include the Jimmy Neutron games in the past and various Disney ones like Cars, Phineas and Ferb, Finding Nemo. I play a few mobile ones like Trolls Music Stars, while I like it, it only makes me wish there was a Trolls console/PC game where I can explore that series world. That's the appeal to me for those games, being able to explore or play in a world to a cartoon I like, and playing as favorite characters.

Loving these new spoiler tags, if only to play around with something new for a moment. XD

@Snatcher Yes, for the most part you can start anywhere. Except maybe Azran Legacy since it does seem to lean a bit on the previous two games. There's also a Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright 3DS spinoff that I haven't played that many also seem to like. Unfortunately, it's also quite expensive secondhand and is a meaty digital download.

@MarioLover92 I highly recommend the Professor Layton series for puzzle lovers, though I do admit some can be obtuse. Sometimes it's due to a different way of thinking, but other times the solutions really are a WTH moment. A few, like the sliding block puzzles the series is known for, can also chew through a lot of time and take some trial and error.

I'd like to see that profile pic come up in your rotation if you get the chance/desire to switch to it at some point. I should probably do a gif eventually....

I unfortunately never had access to Nintendo Power, but I'm sure I would've known about each and every release at the time if that had been the case. The closest I've come to are some old late NES-era ads from some Uncle Scrooge/DuckTales/Disney comics I inherited from my grandmother when she was moving/downsizing. The GBC was my first true handheld, but I have many fond memories of playing my GBA SP. I used to take that thing almost everywhere.

@BruceCM The puzzles really vary. Some are sliding block types where you need to free a certain object from a jumble of others, multiple choice, write a number for an answer, circle an answer/object/etc., dragging the stylus to help someone or something navigate through their environment, etc. I really enjoy puzzle games and using my thinking cap (Depends on how my work day went though), but I will admit a few solutions can be obtuse lol.

@Sunsy Brave is another movie on my "Dang, I need to watch this" list!

The new spoiler tag is very broken on mobile. Honestly seems like a pretty unnecessary change to me.

I have played first game on Wii. I did the online play test for switch sports, just wondering if others think it has enough content.

Man, Cobi (cobanermani456) was the person who introduced me to the sonic series. Same with sullypwnz for the Mario and Luigi series. It sucks seeing what has happened to both of them. Honestly with everything I know both of them are in the wrong. Hopefully sully makes a video addressing the situation and Cobi doesn’t do what he is threatening to do. It really sucks to see two people who introduced me to so many games go down the path they have.

@Sunsy lol that's real? I thought it was maybe just a joke in the AntDude video. That's amazing

My gosh. That new spoiler tag sure is broken. Literally. lol

@reporterdavid Thanks, I'm doing well for sure - I hope you're doing good too.

@Sunsy Yeah I see where you're coming from, I do like how the tracks in the GBA games are two layers. Definitely a step up from the SNES original. Man...I so want a new F-Zero game. lol

Yeah they probably were going for something similar to baseball cards, I presume. Speaking of sports, I saw that one of my friends from Twitter was playing Mario Tennis Aces and I might come back to it. It's been a long time since I played, but I still have it. I did enjoy what I've played overall.

Ok that's cool, yeah I definitely remember those CD books. I have one that you could zip open, and it has a bunch of loose PlayStation 1 discs.

Glad you liked Brave, btw - that was that Pixar movie wasn't it? I do remember hearing about it. I don't remember DS Download Stations, but I do remember that the Wii's Nintendo Channel let you download playable demos right on your DS. That was how I got to play the demo of the DS version of Sonic Colors. Kinda wish I got the DS version back then, I only have the Wii version.

@Tyranexx I may give Curious Village another shot, I'll see if I can get further into it next time I play it. I guess it was a lot harder than I expected. Oh that's cool at least, I would imagine that they advertised Capcom's Disney licensed games. They were Disney comics that you looked at, after all, lol! Yeah, the GBC was the first handheld that I had as well, and I had a fair amount of games for it. Stuff like Super Mario Land 1 and 2, Donkey Kong '94, Game & Watch Gallery, and of course Pokemon. I'd take my GBA SP everywhere I went as well, be it on summer vacation or school trips. Did the same thing with my DS Lite, too!

@Sunsy
I have Cars 2 PS3 and Cars 3 PS4, both of them still unfinished yet as for Cars 2 the Survival missions were pretty hard to survive until at least 2 laps so I must do repetitive Free Play with 1 Lap to get the points quickly.

Also, talking about 3rd party games, are you quickly adapted or liking some upcoming 3rd party games that you have never played before?
I get used to play a lot of 3rd party games, old or new games, mostly I have never played before and I quickly adapted from some games. It was like a beautiful experience to put in my brain with a lot of knowledge from different games, so I can play rhythm games from DDR, I can play RPG games from Final Fantasy, I can play Shooter platformer games from Ratchet & Clank, I can play complex games like Epic Chef in calculating the points from cooking the dishes, something completely new for me. The experience I got from playing never before played games was like upgrading my gaming horizons, so I can use that experience for my own things.
Have you ever daring yourself to like completely never before played games, either old or new games and suddenly you like them after playing ?

Oh, I will get the upcoming game Kao the Kangaroo on modern consoles (I will try to get PS5 version) as I like Boxing animal creatures like Kangaroo and Kao got better new design than previous games. Hopefully the game will as good as Smurfs Mission Vileaf. Will you get Kao the Kangaroo ?

Rhythm gonna hit your head.

@MarioLover92
Speaking about Mario Tennis Aces, I still stuck at mission at Haunted Mansion which I must hit the ball toward the mirror and have to cleared them within time limit. I stopped playing the game since then as it was impossible to clear for me and how did I continue the progress if I still stuck on that mission. Btw, did you clear all the mission at Haunted Mansion?

And speaking about 3rd party games, did you follow some upcoming 3rd party games that you might find a new interest ?
And what kind of upcoming 3rd party games (any consoles) you want to play ?

Rhythm gonna hit your head.

BruceCM

If I'm going to play 1, it'll be on Switch, @Tyranexx .... That's the Katrielle game, isn't it?

To save electricity, my family has started switching off TVs and games consoles at the wall at night and when we're out, which is probably a good idea but I'm slightly worried about the older and possibly more failure-prone consoles we have plugged in like the Wii and PS3. I'm not sure if their electricity supply being switched on and off every day is any good for them. This is almost certainly just me being paranoid but does anyone know if there's any actual cause for concern there?

@Dogorilla
I always plug off the cable of my TV and consoles from electricity once I finished playing games.

@Tyranexx Hope you enjoy Brave when you see it, and hope the spoiler worked because they seem to be broken. The TV thread spoiled something I posted about Alice's Wonderland Bakery due to the new spoiler tag not covering all of it.

@burgerkingsauce Apologies for not being sure what you're referring to since I haven't seen an AntDude video. I'm guessing it's either the My Little Pony game or the Kirby Super Star still teaching me how to copy even though I chose "no."

@MarioLover92 Yeah, it's really cool. Agreed, the series could use more love. I haven't hated any of the F-Zero games I've played.

Yup, that's the impression I got with the cards. I still need to pick up that game, I tried it when they had the trial, and enjoyed it, but never got the game. I chose to wait until I can get a physical copy of the game since I wanted Mario Tennis Aces as that instead of digital.

Yup, I have two of them, one's a bigger CD book and a smaller one with Jimmy Neutron on it. I think Smashing Live is hiding in the Jimmy Neutron case. Funny really, cartoons of the time period had those cases, and they're a thing of the past now.

@Anti-Matter With Cars 2 and 3, I just like racing. Genuinely, just enjoy driving around the tracks. My favorite Cars game is the original on both GameCube and GBA. GameCube was basically like Need for Speed for kids, you had races and a free roaming world to drive in. The GBA version is an isometric racer, always been a sucker for those.

When it comes to third party game, if it interests me, then I may look into it before buying it. Unless it has a demo to try, or a free-to-play game, I could try it for myself to see if I like it. Usually, when it comes to cartoon-based games, if it's a cartoon series I like, 10/10 times I will just buy them anyway, no matter the reception it gets. Usually licensed based games have a bad rep anyway, so I just enjoy them being a fan of said series.

I want to check out the new Kao, I might not get it right away, but playing one of the original games on PC sparked more interest in it. A few years back the publisher gave the second Kao game away on Steam as part of an offer, so I took up on it and checked out the game that way.

@Anti-Matter I probably did. I finished the adventure mode, but I didn't do any of the post-game stuff. Most of my time in MTA was playing online, and I haven't touched the game since like 2019 or so. There's not really any upcoming 3rd party games that caught my eye at the moment.

@Sunsy Yeah totally. We haven't seen a new game since 2004! I'm so ready for a new one to come out - I can't help but think that it's the perfect opportunity to make a new F-Zero for the Switch. They made a new Cruis'n game last year, after all.

Yeah if you enjoyed the MTA trial, I'd say it's worth picking up. Especially now since they had the last content update for quite some time. I'd be glad to play some rounds with you as well.

True, seems like CDs in general are not exactly in high demand these days. Unless we get a sort of CD renaissance, like what happened with vinyl records the past decade. The CD case I have is just a regular black leather case, I've had that since a family member lent their PlayStation 1 to me all those years ago.

Alright, it's probably fine then. I just get unnecessarily nervous about this kind of thing 😅
