@dmcc0 Yes. To be fair PS now, Xbox x cloud, can and do struggle. But take a look at the games playable by streaming on switch, they have much less lag and disconnections than other services. If all games could be streamed on switch using ubitus(cloud provider that streamed games on switch use) then excellent performance.
@Anti-Matter I HATE the fact that the future is streaming. But when it comes, have to make a choice. Either join it or stay physical. I commend you for your choice. My choice? Hold on to physical as long as possible and then go full streaming.
@DannyBoi They might perform better because nobody is playing them! I'm not sure if sales figures have been released for those cloud games on Switch - couldn't find anything with a quick search - or if they are included in the overall sales, but the fact they are barely mentioned suggests they are not selling that well. I'd imagine the publishers would be quick to highlight how well they are doing if that were the case.
I think companies are dipping their toes into streaming but it's a fair while away from being a daily reality. We still have many infrastructure gaps in internet access to contend with before it becomes mainstream.
I don't at all, however, think that the Switch is going to be the device for it though. Maybe docked with a Lan cable is fine but the actual WiFi receiver in the Switch definitely isn't the most ideal for it. It wasn't top of the line when the switch originally launched and it certainly isn't today.
@BruceCM, @Snatcher Thanks! It has been a good one, but we have a long drive today lol. Drove a bit of the distance yesterday at least. Should be home this evening barring delays.
@tekoii October is usually a crazy month for me. Besides work and other normal activities, I volunteer at a local haunted house on the weekends. Then my sister's bridal shower falls next month as well. My house will literally be a bed and breakfast some weekends lol. September is a bit crazier than usual, but I at least have time to breathe here and there.
@MarioLover92 That's just it; I really enjoy putting together LEGO sets. I don't grab them too often since the ones I want tend to be pricey, but I'm certainly up for making an exception lol. I still grab RPGs, but believe me when I say I'm way pickier about the ones I do pick up.
Some people didn't like the Aeion abilities in Samus Returns, but much of the time they were optional. I personally didn't mind them and felt they added to the game. Countering had a small learning curve, but it naturally clicks before long.
Currently playing: Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy (Switch)
If streaming takes over the industry, then I’m done playing video games entirely. It would defeat the purpose of ownership, and the purpose of consoles like the switch, given you’d have to always have internet to play a game. It’s not a bad idea for supplemental stuff, but it would completely ruin the industry if taken further than that.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@Tyranexx Ah I see. Yeah, it does look like some of those really big Lego sets can be insanely pricey. There was one of the Disney Parks-themed sets I saw that normally retailed at around $300, IIRC. Looked really cool, though I'm not sure if I want to spend that much, lol. Used to love playing with Legos as a kid, as many of us did. I put together a couple cars during my time at school too (can't remember if they were Lego or K'nex, it's been too long lol).
I personally had no problem with the Aeion abilities, either. The melee counter I could get behind too, though that felt a bit too scripted for my liking. It's always watching for an enemy to attack, then you press the button at the right time.
@VoidofLight I do agree with @Snatcher - I'm not sure if that would ever happen. Google tried that with the Stadia, but it bombed horribly and it was riddled with problems. I hated that game streaming idea from the start and if its sales were anything to go by, many of us would agree. There's also the fact that Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam are still widely relevant today, so the vast majority of us would play games on those platforms anyway and they all provide ownership of games, physically or digitally.
I was watching two saddest moment from Disney or Pixar movies before i started to play my 3DS game. It was raining outside also.
I am a mellow guy so i'm quite easily to drop my tears by watching those sad moment from animated movies. I could feel my breath was halted for moment, my eyes started to wet, a tears suddenly flow from my eyes with lip shutted tight.
Ray's death in peace was still holding my record as the saddest moment from Disney movies. Ellie's death and unable to have child from Up was my 2nd saddest moment.
Btw, which is your saddest moment from Disney or Pixar movies that can make you drop your tears ?
Hello! Dear God it's been a fun few weeks. Finally found some time to properly unwind lately. Hope everyone's alright.
@Anti-Matter... I liked the part in Frozen II when Anna proposed to Kristoff. Truly heartwarming.. Plus things like the ending of Luca. That also made me cry.

It’s hard to make me feel emotion towards anything fictional, so I applaud the developers or creators of the work when I do feel something. For me, however, I don’t really feel anything at all while watching animated kids movies. Probably because I’m not in the intended audience, but also because of how predictable and formulaic they are.
Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022)
@Anti-Matter Onward. I'm the oldest brother and my siblings and I were raised by my grandparents. When grandma passed away (6 years ago) it was rough. So during the scene where Ian and Barley talk about their relationship with their dad and what it was like when he was sick I was crying in the theater.
