@Anti-Matter Far as I know, the Xbox 360 E never even had the RROD, so there's no risk of that happening. Besides, any and all refurbished/used models of the Xbox 360 console have already either been dumped in case of being beyond repair, or have been permanently fixed, so you can rest assured that whichever model you buy, will last you a long time.

And yes, making an account for Xbox Live is pretty similar to making an account for the Nintendo eShop. But, as for wanting to purchase DLC songs for DDR UNIVERSE 3, I don't think that you'll be able to buy a lot of them, if any at all, since the licensing for these games and their songs has already expired a LONG time ago, but there might be a couple left, although with your specific taste, they might not be what you're looking for...

Next answer: yes, DLC for Xbox 360 games or Kinect games IS region locked, so you will only be able to download stuff for your own region, UNLESS the DLC for all regions is the same, which sometimes happens. Either way, when you make an Xbox Live account you must choose a region, so you'll only ever see stuff available in your own region anyway.

However, what you CAN do, is make two profiles, and then have one profile be either American or European, in which case you actually can see and buy other region stuff.

As for your last question: yes, the Xbox 360 uses always online for many things, but it doesn't NEED to be always online for playing games, especially not for single player games. However, most games do have some kind of online component or leader board/high score list, so your high scores won't be listed in the worldwide ranks if you only ever play offline.

Well, I hope that answers all your questions.

One more thing, though. Save these in your internet browser's favorites:

These sites offer cheapest Xbox Live Gold subscriptions, and prices change all the time, so keep an eye out for the best deals. With Christmas coming soon, I'm sure there will be some discounts in the coming weeks.

The region that you need to look for concerning these subscriptions, is "worldwide" or "global". Once you buy a subscription, you'll be emailed a code, which you can then enter on your console, or on the Xbox website here:
https://redeem.microsoft.com/enter?ref=xboxcom&wa=wsignin1.0
(you'll need an Xbox/Microsoft profile to be able to enter the code with that link as well)

And lastly, you'll also want to put this link in your favorites:
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold#gameswithgold
(if the direct link doesn't work, simply click on "Games with Gold" at the top of the page)

Once you have an Xbox Live Gold membership, you can download two free games every month from there. In total, it's actually four games per month, but two of them will always be for Xbox One, so they won't be compatible with your console. Now, no need to remind me that most of these games won't interest you anyway, but you may never know what pops up. Over the years, I've collected many Disney/Pixar and LEGO games, as well as some other family-friendly games. And they're free to download and yours to keep forever, so you can always try them out and delete them again if you don't like them. Either way, I would keep an eye out every month, to see what's on offer there.

@Zuljaras So, how's that for "in greater detail"?

@ThanosReXXX
Thanks for the info. 😀
Btw, i want to ask some questions about Xbox 360.
Is the Xbox logo on the controller = quit button like PS3 controller ?
How to turn off Xbox 360 properly after playing the games ?
Is there any official theme for Xbox 360 dashboard / UI from Xbox Live but still kid friendly (Disney theme, cartoon themes, common wallpaper) ?
Do i have to put Kinect sensor above the TV or under the TV like Wii sensor ?

And this is Xbox Classic (OG XBOX).
Is Xbox Classic need a memory card like PS2 to save the gama data ?

Oh, about DLC songs for DDR UNIVERSE 3, i got information from Youtuber who played DDR UNIVERSE 3 with DLC songs, he said the DLC were still available on Xbox Live, even the game has been 12 years ago.

No good deed

@Anti-Matter You're welcome.
As for the Xbox button: it's the menu/control button. You can activate the console from standby with it by keeping it pressed, and access the mini menu with all kinds of options when keeping it pressed if the console is on. You'll then be presented with a couple of tabs with options, which you can browse through.

As for the themes/backgrounds: you can select or download various ones, so there will probably be one or two of them that will suit you. The standard one is just a plain green and grey color scheme with nothing offensive whatsoever.

To switch the console off properly, that depends on what you mean by that. Using the Xbox button will put the console in sleep mode, and the only other option is to pull the plug from the wall. As an alternative to the button on the controller, you can also keep the start button on the console itself pressed to switch on or switch off the console.

As for the Kinect controller: in the standard package, you'll only find a stand to put it underneath the TV, but if you want to put it on the TV, you can also do that, by buying one of these:
[url.external][/url]

On Xbox Classic/OG Xbox games: no memory card needed, provided the console has a hard drive, so it can store the save games for all OG Xbox and Xbox 360 games.

As for DDR: well, I guess you're lucky, then. Seems that there's still licenses for songs out there, if that's the case. But in that case, you better download them while you can. You may never know when these licenses will be revoked...

EDIT:
Here's a video of menu navigation. There will be some content in there that you will not like, so please ignore that, but it is a good video to give you a decent idea of how the Xbox operating system works:

[Insert generic "I'm not dead, just busy" paragraph here]

@Eel Eelolan Meowth huh? Awesome! Those must be super, ultra, mega rare! I'll definitely cherish it!

On Fletchling: I have found a couple. I found a 1* Fletchling raid and caught that one to complete the mentioned task, and I found another random spawn later on. For it being a common bird, it's pretty rare right now.

@Heavyarms55 Thanks! I believe I'll hang onto the shiny Alolan Meowth for now; typically I trade off most of my duplicates unless it's one of my favorites, but I might keep that one for a living Dex should I ever pursue one.

I'm still holding off on evolving any new 'Mon until I run a Lucky Egg on Sunday during C-day. I wish the weather outlook was better though; it's supposed to rain most of Saturday and Sunday morning, then after that there will be a temp drop and a heck of a breeze. I intend to spend at least some time outdoors, but we'll see how long my skin holds out lol.

@MarioLover92 I'm pleased I waited to play BotW; so far it's lived up to the hype, and I no longer need to skirt around most articles and threads on the game...at least those that touch the early parts of the experience. XD As gamers, we learn patience! XD

MMBN3: White was my first game too. The game was given to my brother as a birthday gift, but he wasn't really interested in it after trying it out and let me have it. I jumped at the chance to play it as I had seen the anime and was familiar with the characters. I loved the game, though I dropped it for some time as I got stuck on a portion of the game involving the Undernet (something with the N1 Grand Prix qualifiers, if I recall). I finally figured out that section and moved on to beat the game. I've never played the Blue version, but I've also heard that's the better of the two.

4 (played Red Sun) is objectively the worst in my physical collection due to the issues you mentioned; I tried replaying the game after initially clearing it, but I didn't like the upped difficulty off the bat. If I were to rank the games (disregarding versions), my list would be something like 3 > 6 > 2 > 5 > 4 > 1. 1 isn't bad by any means, but it's way less polished than later games in the series. I wasn't too fond of the strategy map battles in 5 (only played Team Protoman). 2 is very good and similar to 3 in many ways, but I slightly prefer 6 due to the Cybeast and Soul Unison systems. I absolutely loved 6 and played through both versions, though I prefer Gregar of the two.

@ThanosReXXX Correction from an earlier post: that online friend I mentioned? I was WAY off on their AC:NH hours and was definitely thinking of someone else. They're at 940 hours and counting, according to their Switch activity.

I tend to only play one major timesink at a time, though I don't mind injecting a couple of shorter games in there should I ever need a small break. But I've found that playing too many of them at once greatly increases my chances of burnout. Moderation is key.

I do know that you can capture horses - I ran across one of the stables already in my wanderings - so no spoiler worries there. Now if only I could actually find one....As for food, I've definitely been experimenting with that whenever I run across a fire. I've also been stealing the occasional steak from bokoblins, but it's not like they'll be eating it or anything.... I did create some dubious food or something similar to that name. No ill effects...yet. I've created some nice meat skewers and mushroom dishes.

@Tyranexx Rain... rain... I think I remember that. That's that thing where water falls from the sky, right? It's been months since I've seen actual rain. Another thing I miss about Japan and, unbelievably, Michigan (probably the only thing I miss about Michigan, but there is at least something).

I've been having a hard time getting myself to actually understand what time of year it is. It's December and it's still t-shirt and trousers weather outside during the daylight. It has been upper 70sF all week during the day. Which is nice for Pokemon Go of course. But it's also actually somehow even drier than it was in August when this area had 2 months straight of temperatures over 110 during the day. I didn't know the air could feel so dry!

The sight of Christmas decorations in the sand when it's this warm is messing with my head. At least Australians grow up with the "Christmas is warm, so it's normal" mentality. lol

Still, I do hope the weather clears up for you. This community weekend thing sounds rather nice. I mostly just want a shiny Piplup, preferably 2, so I can have an extra to send into Pokemon Home for eventual Pokemon 4th gen remakes. Have you had any more luck lately in Go? I've managed to evolved Both version of Pyroar, Delphox, Diggersby and female Espur. As far as I can tell, the only gen 6 Pokemon obtainable right now are those, and Froakie, Fletchling and Chespin.

I still have one shiny eevee that I am saving for making into a Sylveon.

Recently, i was browsing random games from Google and Youtube that randomly caught my curiosity. They are games that i don't think i really have quite interest about but when i watched them from Youtube and tried to digest the gameplay, at some points i possibly will consider them if i think i able to understand the gameplay as i never knew them before.

Recent games that caught my curiosity such as SSX PS3 (i found the information that you can put your own MP3 onto your PS3 to generate Custom music play during playing SSX on PS3. I was thinking that i could put Super Eurobeat / TOHO Eurobeat / DDR songs on my PS3 and i can play SSX with Initial D or DDR songs 😆), Bolt PS3 / Xbox 360 , Cars 3 PS4 , Cars 2 PS3 / Xbox 360, Chicken Little: Ace in Action PS2.

@Anti-Matter SSX is also available on Xbox 360, and it has the same option for adding mp3's. You can also download a demo before buying it, so you can try it out first, to see if you might like it. Simply look in the online store/market place once you have the console. The free demo is probably also available on PS3, so you could look it up on that console as well.

D-Star92

@Tyranexx Oh that's cool, I got it for Christmas years ago. Last time I played it I got up to the final boss, and man oh man this guy was tough. Kept getting deleted over and over again. Same thing with MMBN4 (I played Blue Moon). I do remember the liberation missions being pretty tough in BN5, I recall playing those before I went on to play stuff like Fire Emblem and Shining Force. It was an interesting idea though. I played Team ProtoMan as well, a lot of the team navis I do prefer over Colonel's. As for BN6, I played Falzar while my bro played Gregar - I did play a little bit of the latter and I found that its cross unison navis were quite good, so maybe I'll play through that one of these days.

Still holding out for that MMBN legacy collection, lol. I have no problem getting them on the Wii U but I would prefer playing them on the Switch. Oh speaking of which, I've been meaning to get a hold of the GBA Castlevania games too! I'll be quite busy later on of course, so the question is when I'll get to those. lol

I was surprised when i found the information that we can put any MP3 songs for SSX PS3 / XBOX 360.
I was imagining playing winter sports SSX with Initial D (Super Eurobeat) or DDR songs. 😆

ThanosReXXX

@Anti-Matter Yeah, it's a nice thing that these kinds of games often allow you to add your own personal touch in music. And Initial D music actually does sound like a good fit for playing SSX.

And actually, there's several other games on Xbox 360 that will also allow adding your own music, although most are also racing games (which is basically what SSX also is), so you probably won't like them, I suppose.

But of course, there's also other games in which you can add your own music, such as the Let's Dance games and the Lips karaoke games for example. Perhaps you'll like these. But if not, that's also okay.

'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'

Tyranexx

@Heavyarms55 First if all, thanks for joining those remote raids earlier! Hope you landed a couple of good ones. I wanted to stock up on more Kyurem for when the game inevitably adds a way to fuse it with Zekrom/Reshiram respectively.

Still no rain in your parts, huh? The rain will be welcome - it's been a bit since the last shower. I don't mind a nice, storm-free waterworks show, but I do prefer it during warmer times of the year. Rain when it's this cool is just... bleh. At least it isn't quite cool enough for it to start freezing. I'll take just about any weather conditions over pure ice. Don't know how many close calls I've had on ice; I know how to drive on it, but dang is it unpredictable. I'll even take snow over it.

I'll take 70 degree weather, though it sounds like the summer temps there aren't quite my speed. Good news is today and tomorrow was/will be in the mid 50s, so I can walk outdoors without freezing to death.

Shiny Piplup is also what I hope to find this weekend; that Cday was brutally cold here, so much so that I mostly kept to my car (which I hate doing - less easy mobility downtown). I managed to finally find one, but its stats aren't great. XD Any additional shinies are gravy. Thanks for the well wishes, hopefully it won't be as cold as I think.

No recent shiny luck outside of that hatch. Still haven't evolved any of the Gen 6 'Mon that are capable. I need to collect more candy for some of them. And find a decent male Litleo.

@ThanosReXXX Thanks for the BotW horse info! I'll give all that a look at my leisure. Who knew Mad Titans are also equestrian experts?

@MarioLover92 Alpha in BN3 was quite hard; I don't recall my full battleship set, but I know I had 3-4 Random Meteor (sp) chips and other multihit or powerful chips to help dish out damage. Learning its patterns took a bit too. The worst part is the player is thrown right into that fight after fighting Bass/Forte. No saving.

I found BN4's final boss (Duo) easier to manage, but that's another case of learning his patterns too. At least you don't need to hit him a few times in quick succession before actually damaging him. XD I also lucked out by obtaining Searchman as a Double Soul.

...Come to think of it, I'd argue that Alpha is the hardest final boss in the series.

On BN6, my preference for Gregar itself aside, I also preferred the cross unison Navis in that version. My favorite combo by far is the Eraseman cross coupled with Beast Out mode. Most of the crosses in both versions are quite good IMO.

I'd definitely buy a legacy collection of the MMBN games! I absolutely love them. Its follow-up series, Star Force, is decent IMO, but those games aren't quite on the same level. Unpopular opinion fueled by nostalgia maybe, but I prefer these games (likely due to the RPG elements) over what I've played of the original Mega Man and Mega Man X games.

@Tyranexx No, thank you for the invites! I'm happy to join when I have passes! I only had one and was only able to join one of the raids, but it worked out well! A nice 12 rare candy and a semi-decent Kyurem.

Actually to my surprise they are predicting rain late tonight into tomorrow morning. I'll be shocked if we actually get more than a sprinkle, but if we actually do get it, it should help with the dust and hopefully we can have a few days that don't make me feel like Spongebob out of water without a fishbowl. Weird how I remember that so well, I haven't watched Spongebob in about 12 years, but that episode fits.

And yeah, if I remember right, the Piplup day was real cold for me too at the time.

@Heavyarms55 No prob! I did see you get into one for sure; I erroneously assumed you got into the next as the user count went up by two at the last moment (there weren't many of us, so a lot of remote invites were sent out). I'm glad you landed a fairly decent Kyurem and some rare candies! I did four raids total this evening and got 18 between them; as usual, the game seems to think I need way more revives and hyper potions than necessary. XD

Hopefully that rain does roll in, and that it affects the spawn rate for water types, particularly Froakie, in your area; they're rare enough in most places around here, and it's way less arid.
