@Heavyarms55 They've actually been rereleasing a few previous Harry Potter sets with updated pieces. Trying not to dig back into some of the old ones lol.
A coworker of mine is a huge Star Wars fan and has spent several thousand on some of the more impressive sets. He does plan his purchases and has limits though. Especially since he now has a dog to spoil. XD

@Tyranexx@App I really liked building the ships. I had most of the classic fighters, the X, A, Y and B-Wing rebel fighters. I built my own E-wing based on the fighter from the expanded universe (what Disney stupidly removed from the canon) and 4 different TIE fighters, the original, Vader's TIE Advanced, the Interceptor and the TIE defender, to my knowledge, the only EU ship to get a set. I used to set up hangar bays with repair areas full of droids and ladders and mechanics running around. I also spent a lot of time trying to build my own fighter designs. I also had the Attack of the Clones Jedi starfighter, the LAAT Republic Gunship, and the AT-TE which sadly I destroyed and never rebuilt...
I would spend hours building and rebuilding my own command base. One of my favorite pieces of Star Wars are the X-wing books by Michael Stackpole and Aaron Allston. In one of them Rogue Squadron lives up to their name and goes rogue when the New Republic wont sanction their mission - all 12 pilots repaint their X-wings in unique colors. I always wanted to build 12 X-wings based on that book but I never had enough of the right parts in the needed colors...
I built my own Lego Jedi order and custom made mini-figures for a whole bunch of Jedi from the games and books.
Outside of Star Wars Lego, I was a fan of the old ninja sets they had at one point. I had a cool set on a custom board, that was two castles with a bridge going over a river. That board I reused over and over building all kinds of things. I used to love getting different kinds of boards and different colors. I remember building a city at one point, complete with a main street and cars. Of course I wanted to add a military base too, but I didn't have the room. lol
Ahh good times!
And yeah, I think I remember the globe thing. In a lot of ways, Lego is like Nintendo - there are so many things they could do, that people would eat up, and they don't do it. I always wanted to be able to buy specific blocks in the colors I wanted. Or to be able to order specific mini-figures. A few times I rebought the same small sets, just because they had more stormtoopers or battle droids. I really enjoyed making my own figures by mixing and matching figures with different arms, legs, heads and accessories.
Speaking of that, it's kind of why I don't like the new Lego-Nintendo stuff because they don't use the classic style mini figures, meaning I couldn't easily mix them into my existing collection.

I was pleasantly surprised that Ion Fury got a booklet and stickers inside and it is not a limited game.
And Lego Harry Potter Remastered collection for the Switch is bound to arrive tomorrow!
On top of all I am eyeing a copy from play-asia of Final Fantasy X-X2 Japanese version as it has both games on the cart and it will play in English text and voiceovers from the start!
I have a few Lego games, on the Switch in particular, it's Worlds and Jurassic World (I love that it contains all three original Jurassic Park movies.)
With Lego Worlds I always recommend turning off automatic save backups. Even on a new file it's gigabytes worth of save data!
@Zuljaras Yeah, I'm sure it's not like this everywhere, but at my house, uploading completely overtakes the bandwith until it's done uploading, so the result is snail-pace internet for anything else (if we do get internet at all!)
And when it gets into HD youtube video amounts of data, that could be hours.
I also disabled automatic backups for Minecraft for the same reason, although that one isn't quite as immediately space hungry as Lego Worlds.
@Heavyarms55 Wow, sounds like you REALLY put a lot of work into all that, especially the Star Wars set pieces. I would have loved to see everything set up! Though I'm not sure if I would have appreciated it as much back then as I didn't know much about Star Wars and hadn't really seen the movies (IIRC you and I are roughly the same age); I'm a more recent fan thanks to TFA drawing me in. I definitely like the franchise but have a LOT of catching up to do lol. I need more time or less interests. XD
Heck, I probably would have liked the ninja stuff more as that would have been a bit closer to history and fantasy. I liked both since I was a kid, whereas I didn't get into science fiction much until late high school/early college.
While the Lego Mario stuff honestly looks cool, I also found the lack of normal sized figures a bit off-putting. The Lego NES set almost roped me in until I saw the price. I didn't want to spend that much on something that would only collect dust.

I am starting to think Pokemon Go is bugged for me. Like, every 10km egg I have had for weeks has been Feebas. I am so confused.
@Tyranexx Yeah I suspected we were around the same age. You definitely tend to get my references.
And I don't blame you on Star Wars. It's a gargantuan franchise. Only surpassed in pure amount of content by like, the collective DC or Marvel universes. You can dig into it for years and still be missing huge chunks.

@Heavyarms55 Feebas are ridiculously common in 10k eggs. I have a ton of candy from them and have hatched two shinies. There was a point in time where I was hurting to obtain a Milotic for research purposes, but I needn't have fretted it seems....
Oh boy. The DC and Marvel universes. I love aspects of both and slightly prefer the former. Until I started digging into the comics more I didn't know some characters even existed; most of my exposure started with the various animated shows and a few books back in the day. A few examples I missed back then were Hawk and Dove, Swamp Thing, Emma Frost, Vision, Deathstroke (though I knew him as Slade), and...Well, I could list these for awhile lol. I've usually been the most invested with the X-Men on one side and Batman and the Bat Family's Rogues Gallery on the other. So many interesting story arcs, one-shots, retcons....I suppose it's to be expected with how long these universes (and Star Wars) have been going.

What websites do you guys use for non-Nintendo news? I've finally decided to stop visiting IGN, though I might hit up their video reviews every now and again. Most of the Nintendo stuff they cover typically shows up here, so I'm good on that front.
I mostly stick with Nintendo systems due to time and franchise preference, but I do like to know about what else is out there.
