@Eel It's only 32gb? What benefit is there to having a separate iPod over a smartphone now? I've got over 1000 songs downloaded on my phone. Simple as plugging it into my PC and dropping the files in.

Wow, I didn't know you could even still buy actual iPods ....

I guess the people who buy iPods now are mostly of nostalgia reasons, unless they want a device with only music and nothing else.

@Heavyarms55 it's a (very) small device with it's own battery that I can use to listen to music on the go without it being interrupted by calls or notifications.

I could even leave it in the car without having to stress about not having it on me, because it's not my phone after all.

32 gb IS very restrictive. However I managed to fit nearly 3000 songs in it, and a few more games. I suppose it makes me be a bit more selective about the tracks I have downloaded, since I can't just dump everything on it like with my iPad.

Perhaps you could say it's my mixtape.

(I left some free space because I know it will probably need some for updates)

(And yes, besides the four games I installed, I deleted all the fluff and filled it will only music)

(Tbh the models with more storage are way too expensive to be worth it)

@Eel So even newer models don't have an SD card slot? Lame. But otherwise cool. I do like that the option does exist.

Yeah it's one of those Appleisms, they don't like SD cards. Guess they wouldn't be able to sell the 256gb model for $400 if the user could just buy the 32gb model and an SD card for $230.

Anyhow, another reason I bought it, is that it seems the iPod line is on its way out. They have discontinued every model of iPod except the Touch, and even that one they've only been doing minor internal revisions every four years or so, to keep the hardware compatible with iOS.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just discontinued it too, eventually. So I figured I could get one now.

Well, I finally got around to finishing my playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition this weekend! I still absolutely adore the game! Still my favorite game of all time, even my 4th or 5th time running through it. This DE really wasn't needed but it still is very very nice. An added layer of polish on top of an already unmatched game in my view. I did almost everything there is to do this run. All the side quests, 5 star affinity with the whole world, fully rebuilt Colony 6, the works. Just skipping the super bosses and hunting down every single heart to heart - and the "other" section of the affinity chart. It took a lot longer in real life time because or real life issues, but my end play time was a nice 97.5 hours. Which means if you average it out, I leveled up about 1 level an hour, since I finished the game at level 95.

I'm torn. I had so much fun with this that now I really want to revisit XC2 for my first returning playthrough and my first playthrough with all the DLC out. There was more added to the game after I had already finished it and I think there was even more added after Torna, if I remember right.

But I also still have the XC1 Extra Story to play too. And of course my mile long backlog of games I haven't played yet, all glaring at me for even considering replaying a game before giving them their first run.

I found a clockwork orange-looking Shinx today in pokemon go. Fancy.

I'm still looking for the shiny variant of Shinx. Don't know how many of those gorgeous cats I've raided and hatched. XD Oh well. I caught a fairly decent shiny Kricketot earlier, so all is well.

@Heavyarms55 Most of those XC: DE stats of yours are similar to mine when I finally finished the main story; I think I clocked almost 100 hours. I also went back after a short break and played Future Connected; it's pretty good, has some decent character development for a couple of individuals, but overall it's purely supplementary and not quite on the level of the main game. I'd love to discuss it more, but...spoilers. XD

Yeah, that's why I'm not too keen on many of the event-exclusive Pokemon in special hats and other garb. I did a raid for Top Hat Kirlia earlier, but that was mainly for research purposes.

Normally my shiny luck isn't that great outside of Community Day. The past few days provided two exceptions. Besides Kricketot, I also scored a random shiny Lickitung. Only tapped it for the candy as I still don't have Lickilicky in my Dex.

@Tyranexx It's an add on to the main game, it would be hard to match the main game.

Why does YouTube on the switch drain the battery in 5 hours despite it being only streaming, yet a game more demanding than YouTube drains the battery in 7 hours?
