@ Rudydog13 Technically the web shooters are more in tune with the original comics but I liked them better as an organic ability. The ability to shoot webs should be something he got from the radioactive spider bite. Not something he has to build himself. I thought the spider DNA is what gave him his powers. Not some home made device.
Anyway I get the feeling this new movie will blow goats. What was wrong with the original trilogy? Well the first two anyway. A reboot after only 5 years? Yeah that was a good idea.
The point of Not giving him spider webs was done by Lee to show how intelligent peter was. I think its been said in the Marvel U that if Peter haden't been bit by a radioactive spider he would have become the next reed richards or tony stark in terms of intellegence and money.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
Personally, i don't like the organic webs at all, but i've been a Spidey fan for decades. The organic-webs (which Peter only briefly had in the comics, due to a mutation of his powers) were used in the films mainly because it was simpler than getting into the whole hyper-genius aspect of Pete's character (he's not just a nerd or a smart guy; as shingi mentioned, he's considered one of the most intelligent humans in the entire Marvel Universe).
BTW, i think i or someone else may have mentioned it elsewhere in this thread, but the real reason for the reboot so soon is because otherwise Sony would have lost the film rights to the character and they would have reverted to Marvel's production studio (which is also the same reason we keep getting X-Men films).
