So just over a year ago I got my first tattoo, I think most of you will know where it came from

Dude, when it is early in the morning, and people aren't fully awake, people might misread the title at first.

i have a few, but i ain't gonna post 'em all, lol. here's my latest, a mockingbird and 'orange' blossom to go with it:

i'm thinking my next will be Nintendo-related, but i just gotta figure out what it is that i want. i dig the heart piece, droid. :3

I'm lame, I only have a silly smiley on my arm, that was applied when 16 and drunk. I've always wanted though... a wound, with robot bits underneath, or... a ripple type thing, like something has dropped on my skin and ergh... it's hard to explain.

I had an awesome picture of my tattoo, but I have no idea where it is now. I'll take another one.

It's an easy way of getting a permanent distinguishing body modification for a fraction of the price.
And you get REALLY good drugs whilst it settles down.

@Amorous Badger: but then you've got the whole 'risk of death' thing to deal with, as well as hospital co-pays, being out of work for a while, and a possible dependency on those 'REALLY good drugs' afterward, so... thanks but no thanks. :3

I've thought about getting a tattoo, but I change my mind so often I think I'd be sick of it in a month.

im prolly not gonna ever get a tattoo. i cant needle a needle piercing my skin so many times... _brrr

It doesn't hurt that much briunj04, well, depending where you get it. The ankle kills I hear, on my forearm where I got it not so much.

My next will be the logo from Twilight Princess where the triforce is situated above a phoenix, I'm getting it across my back

To be honest, I don't get the whole tattoo craze. Since when does everyone want to look like sailors and Hell's Angels?!

@TG64: Tattoo art has come a long way since the stereotypical days of sailors and bikers getting skulls, naked ladies, and crappy hearts that say 'mom'.

Just admit it, TBD. You want to look like sailors and Hell's Angels.

@TB: ... lol, that's right, i want to look like a crew of a nautical vessel and also a notorious biker gang. my biggest obstacle is the whole 'looking like a group of multiple people' thing, though, and not so much the crappy old tattoos, which I can probably find some scratcher to do for practically nothing.

However, I still think some people get plenty of goofy tattoos on some goofy places. Like, I knew a guy who had 3 tattoos on his neck!!!! One was his mom's initials, one was his dad's initials and the other was the Chinese symbol for "water" because he likes swimming!!!! Talk about an eyesore for employers.

I actually think Megan Fox looks better in the Transformer movies because they cover up her tatts because in real life she has a giant picture of Marlyn Monroe on her arm. There are plenty of things and people I admire, but doesn't mean I feel the need to have them permanently drawn on to my body -- like I'm going to forget it.

NOTE: If I ever got a video game related tattoo it would be the TG16 logo...

I've got 5 at the moment and all but 1 involve orcas. There's more work I want to get done, but right now games are my money-spending priority followed by saving money for a trip to Japan. I've got photos of them somewhere, so I'll see if I can upload them later.

I heard you can get a tattoo on your eye which is pretty sick, I have always considered getting a tattoo but I wouldn't know what to get.
